  • Popular Post

Hi everyone!! This is my first post & I'm looking for October surgery buddies. I'm very excited about the surgery. I've gotten my psych clearance, scheduled my sleep study, nutrition classes and upper endoscopy. My date is October 14th. Btw, anyone here from Jersey? Look forward to making friends w everyone!

My doctor gave me some pureed food recipes to try. Cream of tomato and Chile soup, basil mashed potatoes, meat stew, pureed legumes, chocolate and banana pudding and orange and cream protein smoothy. In definitely going to try the ricotta bake when I get to that stage! Yum!

Is anyone exercising yet? I've been doing squats, step ups and pushups, but wanted to go for a run today. Thoughts?

My surgery was Tuesday, weigh in this morning was 10.5 pounds lower than Tuesday morning before I left for surgery. Feeling great recovering good and getting used to my new tummy. Love the support and info I get here from all of you.

That's fantastic! Congrats on the loss! I haven't gotten to with myself and I probably won't for a bit because of the water weight from the iv. Well I might just put of curiosity...????

Well .. it's been about 5 days and I have lost 1 pound in those days. But again.. my average is good. I just lost super fast and in a nice little stall.

Hey all! I saw the discussion about the FB group. I 100% guarantee you it is secret and no one will see it. I essentially told no one other than my husband about my surgery, so that's why I wanted to start the group myself to ensure it was totally secure. I was skeptical so I did all sorts of tricks/investigating to make sure.

Also, as an extra precaution I changed the name of the group to October 2014 Friends.
