I am 4 days post-op and I still feel the gas in me. How long before it goes away?

It took a week + for the gas to go away. 1) gas x is your friend 2) if it's in your shoulder do some arm circles it helps move it in that area and3) keep walking! The gas will pass!! Keep it up

I'm 6 days post op and have had a lot of gas as well. I've taken gas x and it's helped a lot! Feel better!

Walking is my best friend. Releases the gas and takes the pressure off of my stomach from when I lie down.

Thank you all for the encouraging advice. I am a very impatient person and I have never had surgery of any kind before. I am learning to play by the rules and be patient with my new band.

I'm on day 5 post op and still having some pain on my neck and shoulders. But it's getting better every day. We got this!!

Gas x helped me a lot, don't leave home without it!!!!

When you start soft / puréed foods eat some Activia. It helps settle your bowl track. It really helped me along with the Gas X and I am 16 days post op.

I found and still find that if I walk a bit the gas dispels as well as massaging the abdomen in a mostly circular pattern.
