Dr. Jalil Illan with Baja Bariatrics and Omar Acosta - A Warning

Many of you on here know me well, I have been a part of these message boards for years. I love our members and I want only the best for them. Therefore, I can not in good conscience keep this to myself any longer.

Dr. Illan is a wonderful surgeon. In fact, when I used to coordinate, for a while I actually referred patients to him. His coordinator, Omar, has a very, very faithful following. So much so, I fully expect and am prepared for the "verbal beating" I am going to get for going public with what I know. But, if I prevent just one woman from experiencing what I am about to share with you, then it will all be worth it.

As I said, Omar is very well loved among the patients, especially the ladies. He goes out of his way to ensure everyone has a great experience while there. He provides for the patient's every need, transports them around town, runs errands for them, sits by their bedside and so much more. He is very charming and charismatic. There will be many, many members who will respond to this thread stating just that. In fact, when the first patient, one that I had referred to them, approached me about what happened to her, I did her a horrible disservice by not really believing what she told me, because Omar did such a good job of convincing me otherwise. But now, after six woman, some of whom I referred to Dr. Illan, some not, have contacted me regarding what happened to them, I know now that first patient was telling me the truth, she did not misinterpret anything and I must speak out.

So, what is it that I am speaking off? I am talking about taking advantage of woman who have traveled to a foreign country by themselves, most likely have low self-esteem due to their weight issues, they are scared and they are lonely. Then, along comes Omar. He is by their side throughout their stay. He is, as I said before, charming and charismatic. They very quickly find themselves falling victim to him, and he takes advantage of them in several different ways. He either is sexually suggestive to them, sexually inappropriate, or convinces these woman he truly cares for/loves them and begins a romantic relationship with them. Because of how vulnerable they are, they believe he really does care about them, and they allow themselves to be wooed by him and have a romantic and/or sexual relationship with him. Then, shortly after, he basically dumps them. He quits responding to their calls, texts, etc. He leaves these woman feeling broken and foolish for falling for him. They feel like they have done something wrong, when in fact, they are merely the victim of a heartless man taking extreme advantage of his position and their vulnerability. Understand, I am not saying this happens with every patient, but it does happen and it shows an extreme lack of professionalism and moral character.

I have attempted to contact Dr. Illan to speak with him personally about this. Unfortunately, Omar makes that nearly impossible. All calls, emails, etc. are intercepted by him. And, here is the saddest part of all, Dr. Illan already knows what is going on. So, I am doubtful my talking to him would make a difference. Dr. Illan knows Omar has a strong fan base, and therefore, brings him a great deal of business. So, he turns a blind eye to what is happening. Which, is why I have no guilt in publicly coming out and sharing what I know. I will be honest, my goal here is to have Omar removed from his position as coordinator with Baja Bariatrics and Dr. Illan, and to see that he does not work in this field or any other field where he can take advantage of woman again. And, if Dr. Illan goes down as a result, well, shame on him for allowing it to happen in the first place.

I continue to find it astonishing, sad and shocking what levels the Omar worshippers will stoop to simply because they believe is something did not happen to them, it could not possibly happen to anyone else. It just continues to reinforce the level of influence and power he has over these woman. It is scary and cult-like behavior.

So far MXt has wrongly accused Whitney of doing something illegal. Slandering her name in the process. She has described her as criminally insane, threatened and blackmailed her, yet Whitney is in the wrong here and MXt (LL edit) is still a victim. This all makes COMPLETE sense.

A judge will laugh in the face of charges at this point.

We have all seen Whitney do the same on this very thread. While many of her posts were removed, I still have copies of all of them. And what about Whitney's very real threats to Alex as well? She clearly threatened him. Will the judge laugh at that? Shall we put your assumptions to the test?

May you all (and by 'all', I mean the Cabal of individuals who would seem to be 'fundamentalists' when it comes to the Baja clinic and their coordinating staff), be THOROUGHLY ashamed of yourselves.

You leave me agog at your actions.

If anyone needs any legal counsel as to potential options (albeit I'm not American, don't specialise in the laws of the internet (but have friends that do) and am not state-specific - although it wouldn't take me long to work out your statutes and the laws of the internet are fairly transnational anyway), I would be happy to provide any help or assistance I can.

US Citizen? Whitney? Wow.. tread carefully now.. I do believe you have found the line and stepped WAY over it.

In the Facebook security settings, you will find a list of active sessions and where exactly these active sessions are taking place. She did it, she hacked my FB and created a fake profile of me. What she did is criminal and as far as threats go, she sent me a message telling me that I have no idea what she is capable of. I did not ever say that any of the fans girls, were responsible for the copies of texts that she used, I simply stated that she was coached. You figure it out!

The attacks from @coexist123 (Jessica C. head administrator of team Illan) and @@babygirl1987 (Whitney F.) are really going to the extreme and must stop immediately. We noticed @babygirl123 was posting under her name and keeps coming back under different names. Now she is posting as @babygirl123 and also sent one of our members a threat through IM that she will go after her in personal life. This is the message she sent the unnamed member.........." Things in this online world can very much effect your personal life the same way you are trying to effect omars. You have no idea what I'm capable of....." I think this has gotten out of hand.....

Uscitizen, a threat made by Whitney.

Wow, now I'm being threatened via FaceBook by "Whitney Uberdriver": "Do not act like I am attacking this woman! She has been coming at me for the last 48 hours! I have extreme experience in SEO and building very powerful websites. You have no chance when it comes to attempting to ruin my name. You are running a company that can be run into the ground. This is not how you should be doing business." Then I get this threat: Followed by another threat: "I see you just released another book too on Amazon. I and several others have read it. I think we are all entitled to a review.... right?" I think Uber should know how abusive one of their drivers is behaving online.....

Uscitizen, here is the threat she made to Alex.

Do you all know what your doing? Your ruining the reputation of Dr. Illan. Have you got nothing better to do than bitch and moan? That's a lovely life you have. Now grow some balls or what ever and shut up and grow the hell up!

Oh goodness, thank you so much for making me realize that. Yes, you are right, it is much better to back down, allow Omar to continue to take advantage of his patients, make inappropriate sexual advances to those who clearly don't want it, and to satisfy his personal sexual needs with insecure, woman he meets through his job instead of being a real man and finding woman outside of his job. Yes, you are right, lets just allow him to continue to victimize woman.

Here is the read deal, IF Dr. Illan truly cares about his patients, and IF Dr. Illan truly cares about his reputation, once he sees and hears all the facts, which I can assure you he will, then he will fire Omar so fast, Omar will not know what hit him. And IF Dr. Illan does that, he will have my utmost respect and support.

However, IF Dr. Illan is presented with all this information and continues to keep Omar in his employ, then he is as guilty as Omar and whatever happens to him and his reputation is his own fault, NOT the fault of this thread, NOT the fault of the victims. HIS OWN FAULT. It is his responsibility to ensure the safety and wellbeing of his patients.

I will continue to speak out about this and will continue to defend these woman until Omar is no longer coordinating for anyone, or working in the medical field for anyone.

@@Susan Lackey. We're still waiting for truthful answers regarding these questions about the events that may or may not have been associated with your series of "warnings" to direct people away from medical groups in Mexico. It's very unclear which doctors you may have accused over the last two years and your the nature of your association with these professionals. Some doctors you are claiming not to have accused have lost business due to these "warnings."

I was advised today, on another forum, that people avoided Dr. Kelly due to your accusations, but I understand now that you didn't mean to accuse him. Is this true?

Are you asserting that you do not have a personal relationship with one of the founding members of this website? Is that relationship predatory? Could such a relationship be considered predatory since you are a patient, as well? If I were he, I'd stay well away from someone with such a long list of accusations.

Do you mean that you did not work for a competing doctor at the time of the "discovery" of the first incident? Do you mean that you referred many patients to the doctor for whom a patient died? Are you certain that you didn't take issue with the death of that patient until AFTER you were dismissed from employment?

Didn't you seek medical treatment from the doctor to whom you referred patients but now discredit? Didn't you, in fact, seek medical treatment in Tijuana AFTER you posted that it was extremely dangerous to do so?

Are you sure you didn't "find out" about a personal relationship of Omar's IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING being denied for medical treatment by one of the medical teams you've accused? Could it be possible that this denial comes, in part, from medical professionals fearing getting involved with someone so inclined toward slander and defamation?

I'm curious as to why, and perhaps you can answer this... Why would women randomly seek you out to confide their deepest secrets if they'd felt victimized? I mean, I'm struggling to understand how it comes to be that a coordinator who is in no way connected to a medical team becomes the personal confidant of SO MANY slighted or victimized patients. Can you tell me how, was it seven you said?, how did these women come to find you to express this very personal experience of feeling "taken advantage of?"

and more recently...

Why do these long time users, these "victims" with whom you've gotten so close, have accounts that don't reflect being long term users of this site? Do you know all 7 of these women personally through another forum or another avenue of life?

I'm still wondering why you answered another person's post in the first person. You can scroll back through the comments, I'm sure if you need to refresh your memory.

Ha! Are you serious? This has, on balance, little to do with Dr. Illan, and more to do with his assistant. Which, if you had read the thread from its inception, you would have understood.

Is this an attack as a form of self defence?! You 'lot' make me laugh... (and that's incredulously, if you haven't got the wherewithal to work it out ;))

Move on, chickadee... You're boring us with your non-enlightening prose....

I thought you weren't responding again. Huh.

Attacking Omar means your attacking Dr Illan. Your all low lifes with nothing better to do. Grow the fuck up. Get a life elsewhere. Dr Illan is a great surgeon. This thread is going to scare so many away...
