So I had my 3 month check today and my Iron levels are low (boo) my Vitamin D is dangerously low (boo) but thanks to LabCorp I noticed they both have been for almost 3 years! Oddly enough those doctors never said anything to me and now I'm playing catch up.

On the Bright side I am down 66 lbs!!!!!! I'm so excited and so close to onederland, I can taste it! Lol. I just wanted to quickly share my excitement because unless u have been in our position it's difficult for people to understand the excitement of even a 2lb loss.

Have a great one everybody!

Congrats on your 66 lbs!! That's awesomeness!! I am also 3 months post op but don't see my dr till 7/23. Wondering if he will send me for labs. My D was low before surgery and I've been taking it since then so hoping it's ok. We shall see.

Thanks! how fast the time goes right?! I've been taking all of my vitamins/supplements but still low on those two things. I hope your visit goes well!! My doc gave me labs paperwork at my 1 month and today he gave me more labs for my 6 month checkup. I feel like a human pin cushion lol

That's awesome and congrats!

Is the 66 lbs from your date of surgery or do you count in your pre op diet weight loss?

Thanks DaddyMarie !! The 66 lbs are from date of surgery. My surgeon didn't require a pre-op diet. Just the 24hours before surgery straight Clear Liquids.< /p>

I had my 3 month check up yesterday and the doctor gave me the prescription for labs. He said they will take like 12 vials of blood so I'm definitely not looking forward to that. On the bright side I'm down 48 pounds (in total) and my BMI is 27 so I'm very close to a normal BMI. This was very good news specially after being on a 2 week stall.

</blockquote>That's a ton! What's your secret?

It's weird, every time I "exercise" even just a quick walking the dog around the block, the next day I dropped 2lbs. The days I don't exercise, I completely stall. If only it were that simple before surgery, right?!

I don't drink anything but Water and diet snapple when I want something different. I also keep to the minimal rule of 64oz of water/64grams of Protein daily my surgeon told me. Other than that I'm not doing anything special.

12 VIALS?! OMG that sounds like a lot. I only have 4 taken when I go. Well it's part of the process I guess. That is awesome, 48lbs! Nevermind your BMI!!! That is amazing. I can't wait for my BMI to be on the normal range as well. Not quite there yet but one step at a time. I wish you the best of luck and continued success on the WL!!

I know isn't that crazy 12 Vials!!!.. I hope he's mistaken because I think I'll pass out lol. I read what you said about exercising and loosing I have the opposite happen when I exercise too much I stall maybe because of muscle building but it becomes discouraging. You are doing great so keep up the good work. Good luck to all of us in this adventure!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
