Recommended Posts

Has Hair loss started for anyone else? It's not major so far, but I've noticed an increasing amount of stray hairs and hair in the drain over the past two weeks or so...

Oh yes...for at least 3 weeks now, everyday its more than a hand full...i do have lots of hair to begin with...but my gosh there is hair everywhere

May 28th surgery down 73 lbs as of this morning. Main complaint would be energy. Water seems to help. For some reason I am starting to eat less. Finally got over the gout from week two. What a strange trip this has been

Since last wenesday nite i have been having nausea...cannot eat much at all. I never had that prior i am wondering if its not a symptom of dehydration.

Over the weekend i was so depressed because i rrealized that there is no joy in eating...it´s just painful and annoying now. I guess its a good thing that food is not a refuge anymore, and that was the whole point of this. But its tough not to have a normal family dinner, or to avoid social event because you cant drink or eat.

I dont know maybe its better this way for me in the long run

I'm totally starting to lose hair. Sad :(. But expected.

About 40 is the average right now (+-10). I average 500 calories and I'm around 40. I can't imagine what's going on to get down 73 in 10 weeks!

Ditto, hair coming out but I lost hair about 3 months after each of my children were born also. Something about the trauma of childbirth or surgery, it's a shock to your system. I've added hair, skin and nail Vitamins and hope it helps.

SW 250, CW 212 I was hoping to be 200 or less by vacation tomorrow but my 3 week stall derailed me a bit. I am much smaller in inches and losing again so maybe I'll be in "onederland" when I return on the 28th.

I eat around 700 cal per day, and since i got my jawbone up24 fitness tracker i make sure to do 10 000 steps per day. I am down 64 lbs SW 304 lbs CW 240 lbs.

On the weekend i cleaned my closet and drawer, i now have 2 pair of pants left lol. I need to go shopping but i am trying to wait for the colder weather to hit. It was funny coz i had kept all kinds of clothes from the past, and so i knew i had wear this or that outfit to specific events and i can say that i have erase a good 7 year worth of fat.

My biggest wish right now is to be under 200 for x-mas. 4 months to go and 40 lbs ...am i unrealistic?

No beeping. They took out a portion of your stomach and left nothing metal inside. Don't even believe if u had lap band you would beep. So no worries!

My taste buds have changed and no longer does popcorn taste good. I am finding joy in eating by finding health yogurt dips for veggies, different flavors of hummus, different spreads for deli meat like Dijon mustard, spicy mustard etc. just watch the calories! I eat small meals throughout day. eggs with cheese in am with a little Tabassco the green sauce. Mid morning Protein bar , cottage cheese or yougurt. Then lunch and another Protein snack at 2-3 then dinner.

Explore different dips, sauces, spreads and we even got lemon and lime olive oil for sautéing shrimp or grilling chicken.

Hope this helps!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
