June sleevers, check-in!

CW:????

I was sleeved on June 24th and I asked the nurse to tell me my weight from the hospital bed before being discharged (6/27) and she said I was 350. Is that possible? I can barely tolerate 4 oz at anytime. Did I have too many blankets on the bed? WTH?! My scale from home (which only goes to 300lbs) looks like it's reading 340 (went around twice). I'd throw this scale out but I know one day soon I'll be able to use it again ;)!! Lol.

Hi there! I was sleeved on June 23rd. I'm the biggest of y'all!

My heaviest weight was 446 pounds when I met the surgeon in February 2014. He put me on a high protein/low carb pre-op diet and I was down to 355 on the date of my surgery. I'm one week out today and 346.

I am just coming off my 7 day clear liquid diet and moving on to pureed foods.

We can do it!

I was 234 last week-ugh

I am three weeks post op and am gaining weight I don't understand! I'm not even eating 800 calories. I just started a few semi solid things. I just don't get it. How is this possible? Before surgery I would've taken in 3000+ calories and stayed the same. I refuse to fail again. I need suggestions. Please feel free to help.

I'm feeling the same way. I lost about 9 pounds after surgery and that was two weeks ago. In 1 week I have only lost half a pound and that was only after the last couple of days. I would only imagine that our bodies are used to taking in all those calories. So now that we are only taking in about 800 calories, our bodies are trying to hold onto whatever it possibly can for as long as it can before something gives. This would also be the fourth week (for me) on low, low, low calorie diet. So it could very well be that we are in that 3 or 4 week stall that I see in a lot of other posts in the forums. I hope that answers some of it. Anyone else with thoughts on this?

I have been going from 223-225 it's frustrating but I've read about the stalls also, so I'm hoping soon it will get better.

I'm in a stall as well. It's disappointing, but reading the posts in this forum have helped me stay calm. I've decided not to weigh myself until next week and to try and walk as much as possible. Hoping to see some downward movement next week!

Several people told me a stall is normal I just didn't expect it so quickly. I've gained 1 1/2 lbs which seems impossible considering I hardly eat. I'm holding on to hope that it's just pre-menstral Water weight.

Same thing happend to me. I lost a few pounds right after surgery, then gained 4 pounds over a five day period. It completly ticked me off. I could not (and still don't) understand how I could gain weight when I was eating only 700 calories a day. But that passed, the stall ended, and I started losing weight again, and losing very quickly.

While it's easier said than done, just be patient, give it some time, the wight will come off

I've only lost 12 pounds since surgery, only one pound this week? It does bother me, but I'm hoping for a big loss this week, I'm trying to get in more Protein, less fat and sugar , and I'm going to do some extra walking . We can do this! Seems like most of us are having the same issue.

Hey guys! I'm finally getting used to my new sleeve (surgery 6/4). I'm just a little bummed that I'm already stalling.. I've been at 214 for about a week now.. I guess it's normal at this point though. Gonna start really getting into exercise, which will hopefully start up my weight loss again! Anyone else feel hunger every two hours? I didn't think I was going to be hungry any more but now it feels like I'm hungry more. Obviously I don't eat much when I do, but just curious if anyone else is in the same boat.

I get hungry about every two to three hours also. But thats probably because I'm still in my liquids

Hi guys,

I'm 4 weeks out now and feeling really, really good! I'm still adjusting to the whole "eyes bigger than my stomach" thing and always end up bringing too much food with me for lunch. Every evening, unpacking my lunch is eerily similar to when I was packing it up that morning :D

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
