I haven't told people either...saying:" I'm trying to stick to low carb diet" has worked for me.

I have my surgery on July 10th...I have 2 weeks preop diet but it is 2 shakes and 1 small meal a day. Everyone is right it is much easier during the work week. Today is particularly hard but I am holding on.

I have been dreading the weekend as well. I have really been cleaning though. LOL I guess I will atleast have a clean house. I just try to keep busy. @@LeosWifey hang in there you can do this.

I've been catching up on all my sleep, cleaning, an HBO has a free preview this weekend. I've never looked forward to Monday so much! I'm going to go online and look at all the great clothes I can purchase when I finally start loosing the real weight! Maybe plan a vacation where I won't be more worried about what I'll wear than having fun! Got to keep busy !!!!

I made through the baby shower it was not easy passing up all that food!! I agree with you kfosio I can't wait until Monday this has been a long weekend. Anybody exercising while on there liquid diet? I'm trying to do 60 min cardio 6 days out of a week. My Dr. also have me on Bariatric Advantage 3-5 shakes a day . My Dr. also approve any kind of whey Protein make sure the carbs is not to high you can buy it at Walmart, Target or any health store. Everybody make sure your drinking at lease 64oz of Water a day.

I am hoping to be a July-er!

@@Ivowtodoit Did you have any trouble at the shower with people asking you what was up? How do you like the bariatric Adv shakes...I'm just about sick of them and having trouble getting them down! 6 days of chocolate shakes 4 x per day is not so much fun!

I was so busy making everyone's plates they didn't notice I wasn't eating. I am so tired of protein shakes too. Two banana shakes a day is enough for me. I take in other stuff such as broth soup and sugar-free jello. I wish I can eliminate the shakes all together.

I go for my pre op appointment tomorrow. I can finally schedule my date. I hoping for the 15th of July. I will know tomorrow but they are going to have me do 10 of a high protein low carb diet. I can't wait to finally get my date!

I am about sick of Protein shakes too. I can eat a can of Progresso Light soup once a day. I can't believe I get so excited for the soup. LOL I just keep thinking about my long term goal and feeling better. :)

Are you guys keeping it a secret that you are getting the band? At first I was skepitcal about letting people know that I was having it done. But then I thought what does it matter. People around me would know something was up, true I could say that I have been watching what I eat and going to the gym. But I believe this is a decision I made for my health and so what what if I had surgery to get it. How do you guys feel about it?

I was keeping it quiet. But I'm telling people now but if they ask why I'm taking time off work etc. I didn't want to broadcast it But I'm so excited !!

I go for my pre op appointment today! I can't wait. Hopefully my July 15th date is open. I am so excited as well. I know I will have to get my blood drawn again because its been over 30 days since I had surgery clearance from my PCP.

@@newme62633 Thats very exciting for you! Let us know how it goes!

I was really reluctant to tell people in the begining but, as it has gotten closer I have gotten more comfortable talking to people about my choice. I figured people would have their opinions and I was not really interested in it! I've gotten more confident in my response and my decision whihc has helped any negativity I have encountered. My aunt is the most critical of my decision becuase she has had a failed lap band her slef. However, she is also the very first person to tell me how to "cheat." I'm not so sure she followed the rules very well and that is probablly why she had complications. I still politely say thanks and assure her that I have done my research and this is the best decision for me!
