Hi everyone, I hope everyone is doing good on there pre op diet. I went to the store to get more soup, jello etc. My doctor want me to be on liquids one week after the band. I'm going to try and do it until August 3. I guess tomorrow I will pack my overnight bag for the hospital. I'm so happy Tuesday is almost here.

My surgery date is July 29. I am working on creating my shopping list both pre-op and post-op. I see that there are items that sometimes the weight-loss team forgets to tell you about. I am so grateful for all the people before us who have been kind enough to share what has worked for them.

July 16th .....in Dallas . I need suggestions for food to eat on pre op and post op. I've researched this without any real luck, so those of you that have been thru it, I'd appreciate anything you could share. I started my pre op diet 3 days ago and I need something to spice it up a bit.

My surgery is outpatient. I have lost 11 pounds so far on pre-op diet. I will know tomorrow what time I need to be there. I am hoping for early morning because my husband has work that night. I am hoping we get home early enough so he can rest a little before going to work. I am really starting to get nervous not because of what I am having done just that it is surgery in general. I will post update after Tuesday. Good luck everyone that is having it done on Tuesday.

Good luck to you too fhawkins12 ........there is some one having there Lap Band tomorrow I hope everything go as planned.

Hi everyone! Surgery dates are getting close!! Best of luck to all of you. This is most defiantly the most exciting and nervous time(at least for me it has been). I'm from Dallas surgery is scheduled for July 24th. I have an upper GI on the 8th and start my pre op diet on the 10th. Yikes!

I have surgery on the 11th. So far sugar free popsicles and MIO drops (for water) have been my go to item. My doc seems a bit more strict about the post diet than I have read. I have to do liquids for 4 weeks and then puree for 4 weeks before I can eat solid foods. Its going to be so tough! Good luck to the others going in this week as well!!

Hi everyone, I have to be at the hospital at 5:00 am tomorrow morning, my surgery should start around 7:00 am it should take no more than an hour.I'm surprise I'm not nervous, just excited. My 13 day liquid diet was not easy. I had a couple of off days early on. I got back on track and I loss 21 lbs. I could have loss more if I didn't have OFF days. I hope my liver shrunk. Best Wishes to everyone July is a new beginning for us HAPPY WEIGHT LOSS!!!!!!!

Congratulations to everyone on your upcoming surgery! Best life choice I've ever made.

Give updates when you feel up to it. Hope it goes smoothly.

July 29th for me! My surgeon is having me do a low calorie, high Protein diet for 7 days and then Clear Liquids for 3 days before surgery. Not ecstatic about it, but ive already put in SO much work for the past 7 months that I just keep telling myself it'll all be worth it!

I just quit drinking caffeine starting today..which is REALLY tough considering I work at Starbucks! I'm not a HUGE coffee drinker, but I definitely enjoy my triple espresso in the morning. :(

I'm only taking 5 days off work, so i'm hoping to be one of the lucky ones who bounces back pretty easily. Good luck to all you ladies getting banded this week!! Hoping for quick healing and recovery for you!

Your are a tough cookie! I had mine placed yesterday and I can say I am not planning on heading into the office tomorrow !! I didn't / don't have the gas pains that many people experience but the soreness on my left side where the port is pretty rough. For the most part I'm just having a hard time getting in and out of bed or out of the recliner. I am really suprised at how good it feels once I am up to just walk around a bit. I didn't realize how swollen I would be on the outside. I have a pretty nice lump sticking out of my left side. All and all it hasn't been too bad! Anyone else notice that absolutely every single commercial on TV is about food????? Geeeeeze!! Thank goodness for dvr!
