I know how you feel about the clothes. Over the years because I've been a yo-yo dieter, I literally have a bunch of clothes for every size from a size 6 to size 16. I'll be alright for a little while. From year to year, I never knew what size I'd be so I just kept all my clothes.

I have from size 12-20. Lol

Y'all are inspiring! I thought I was going to read a current thread on goals and started on page one with everyone of you showing remarkable success. Love the comment about bras! My goodness - toast made me smile. Husband/wife affections made me blush. All seem realistic and better yet realized by y'all. Thank you for the motivation!

@shrinkingqtpi ... thank you. Or you're welcome. One or the other. ;)

Like @@swimbikerun said -- your successes and wins will be on this thread sooner than you will imagine.

Very best to you as you continue on this path.

I guess i am not your typical woman. I cant wait to be able to buy rain gear that actually fits me. I manage a national estuary and am outdoors in all kind of weather year around. I have a rain jacket that is so tight around my butt and gut it is uncomfortable. I also can never find rain pants that fit so normally i go without and end up freezing to death. Im short 5'1 and have to buy mens sizes and then they end up a foot too long.

I've actually been making a point to think about these things the last few days. I'd been feeling discouraged from the six month waiting period. Things felt real and exciting and immediate when I decided to get sleeved, but the waiting period sucked the excitement and immediacy out of it. In an attempt to boost myself, I've been making a (long) mental list of NSV I'm looking forward to.

- Not being too embarrassed by my size to fly for fear I might be kicked off.

- Not needing a seat belt extender on flights.

- Being able to keep up with my niece and nephew.

- No knee pain when going up stairs.

- Being pain free enough to properly work out. I've always been fat, but I was a small-fat before (not a death-fat like I am now (my phrasing here is tongue-in-cheek, referencing the "morbidly obese" title many are given and popular among the fat acceptance crowd who taught me to lose most of my body shame, so yay! Also, I'm blunt and a have an odd sense of humor), and when I was a small-fat, I still had the energy to work out the way I like. Until I'm half-dead on the floor with wobbly legs and as red as a Tomato. I miss pushing my physical limits.

- To walk up 4 flights of stairs without being winded for 15 minutes after.

- To see what my body shape really is beyond "cute blob". I've been overweight since I was 9 years old, so I don't know what I look like.

- To keep the arm rest at the movie theater down comfortably.

- When I'm ready, to be able to get pregnant more easily and have a successful and safe pregnancy.

- To go sky diving.

- To go parasailing.

- To go zip lining.

- To run marathons in honor of those I love who are no longer here.

- So I don't have to wonder if someone complimenting me or asking me for my number while I'm out is only doing so to make fun of me.

- So I can live. Live longer, but actually LIVE instead of just exist.

- So I can shed the old me that was built out of shame and trauma and find the real me, someone outgoing, warm, and optimistic hidden inside.

- So I can stop buying wide calf boots and finally buy boots I like.

I have sooo many...running around with my 2 yr old, shopping in the regular womans section (itll be expensive for me as I only own a few 18, the rest is 20 or 22. I havent been less than that in 20yrs), not being afraid of breaking things I sit on, painting my toes, going hiking without hyperventilating, going on amusement park rides, not being embarrassed all the time by how I look and how much I can eat, my knees and ankles hurting less, energy, I think I could go on forever

I'm looking forward to weighing less than I did at my "skinny" weight. 159lbs

Weighing less than my husband

Taking family photos

Not being the fattest person in the room

Feeling comfortable around others

Not ashamed to meet up with old friends

Omg..this is me..every last one of them!

Milestones I'm looking forward to:

Flying in an airplane without an extender

Fitting into a diner booth

Tying shoes comfortably

Walking up a flight of stairs without breathing hard or stopping

Running on treadmill

Running a 5K

Riding Silly Symphony Swings at Disney's California Adventure

Indoor Skydiving

Unaided lift from being on the ground

Getting up from a crouch unaided

Getting rid of CPAP

Sitting in the middle of a theatre row

Putting the tray down on an airplane

Buying clothes in readily available sizes (XL or below)

Crossing my legs Corleone style

Horse back riding

I can't wait until I feel like I have enough room to not need a seat belt extender in my new car. It fits but any sudden movement locks it ... I want room to spare!!!

I am soooo with you on this one. Drives me insane.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
