Hrhlaurie - so we are the same height. I haven't seen 150lbs since 8th grade and I am almost 46!! Is it weird that my doc and I never discussed goal weight, weight loss amount, anything like that? I just feel like I have no idea what the different weights are like so I will know when I get there!!

Well, he only mentioned it at my 2 week check up. His first goal for me is 40 pounds in first 3 months. He didnt tell me toget to 150, just that I might want to stay above 150.

I'm 2 weeks post op tomorrow and I've lost 10kg as of today I think that's about 20 pounds? I'm excited and can start seeing small differences it's awesome!!!! I can't wait to lose more

I'm on mush food which is kind of hard for me as I don't know how to eat healthy like this .. I just keep eating mashed potato - dr said one more week of mashed and then I can move to normal food just be careful

I don't get much post op feedback from my dr so I'm making an appt with a dietician on Sunday to see if she can guide me I don't want to mess up for lack of information you know

I spent a few days at 237 and now a couple of days at 236 so not sure why the major slow down. I'm putting away my scale amd only going to weigh once a week on Fri morning from now on. Seeing Nut today so maybe she'll have some ideas for letting my metabolism up.

I went to my post-surgery doctor appt yesterday. He said it was just a response to the anesthesthia and will go away. It may take another week or two. I did transition to pureed (yuch) foods yesterday and having something more substantial helped with energy and thinking.

Hi. My Dr. never talked about a goal weight. He just he wants our bmi out of the unhealthy range. So for me that's anything under 150. I'm 213 today. 63 lbs to go. It doesn't seem unrealistic for the first time in long long time.

Everyone has lost so much since surgery. I've only lost 11 pounds and the scale hasn't moved in four days. I trust the process and I'm getting all my Fluid and about 70g of Protein a day, but I just hope I'm not one of those really slow losers...

Habsi what can you eat now as we all had surgery the same week but all our diets seem to be At different phases. I have a scrambled egg with asparagus And shred cheese around 6am then usually yogurt around 9 then lunch of deli sliced chicken and a string cheese at noon then some snack around 2 or 3 and dinner may be egg muffin or a shake or something. It depends on where I am with my Protein. I throw a shake in there where I need to. I went back to work this week and have walked 10,000+ steps a day - my goal is to do that a MINIMUM of 5 days a week. Hope that helps.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
