help.high protein diet has caused gout....should i reduce my protein.

I am suddenly having tingling and sharp pain in my big toe....2 days it was in the left leg..today right leg also i am feeling it..

Should I reduce my proteins...will my weight go up...

I am really tense...should I go on a vegetable fruit diet for 2,3 days and see....just juices to remove the high uric acid levels..

I'm so sorry you're having gout pain. I'm back on Uloric and haven't had any more pain. Still eating and drinking lots of protein. I hope you get relief soon!

I suggest you go to your primary doctor and maybe get a referral to a specialist to see if this is really what you have and the best way to treat it.

It's so funny that you posted this. I've been on a high Protein diet for a week and since I started I've had pain in my ankle. My hubby said it may be gout.
