Ugh don't know what's going on in my family first I find out a few days ago that my Great Aunt passed , then last night I find out my Cousin passed & I ate 2 pieces of celebrity with a little Peanut Butter & was pbung for a half hour straight & For the last 3 days my chest felt tight & I was having trouble breathing , I am better now & again work is getting to me , I will be taking a vacation in April , I am going to the Meet& Great in San Diego California , also I was fighting Social Security with a Lawyer but they say since I went back to work even though I can't and REALLY am not supposed to lift over 5 lbs with my left shoulder because I have frozen shoulder I was denied so I lift at least 50 lbs every day which also doesn't help my shoulder or back , but I am healthy & I keep moving , I also am still losing & getting to my goal it is talking it's time but I will not give up.

I also like to come on BP each day to get some motivation and information. I post on some things and others I ignore I made some post regarding the band bashing and misinformation some time ago. The posts regarding the "foreign body" thing seems to haven lessened but I think the mine Is better than yours attitude is common on sites such as ours. I have quit trying to defend the band and just live my life. Many of our long time bandsters and friends have quit posting for a variety of reasons I only wish the best for everyone regardless of the type of surgery they had. It's a battle for any of us who have obesity and until there is a better solution WLS seems to help many of us. CG was one of the best posters here and AJ, TMF and Missy. They all helped me with their humor and frankness. I miss each one of them and still hope they are out there somewhere living their new lives in health.

OUCH

Just got home at 1 today from surgery center... No more "extra lap"

Lying down is ok. Getting up is a wicked bitch....

Just like WLS, there is a lot of relief from worry and anxiety already gone!

I know ... The lidocaine will wear off, but they now have a pouch you wear with a slow drip to keep the area numb... Big owie on moving side to side or god forbid. Laughing

Glad it is over !!

Good question. Abdominalplasty.

Don't think he did muscles because I didn't see that on the surgery paperwork .. And frankly, I feel too comfortable. Lying down mind you...

Like I mentioned. It's the getting up that is difficult. And taking small steps.

That wearable lidocaine pump gets an A+...thanks for asking .

Wow, Julie -- you are so brave! Way to go. And here's to Lidocaine. I use the Patches.

Debbie, sorry for your losses -- good for you pulling the eating thing together. You are doing beautifully!

We have blue sky and much longer days now -- so happy to have winter behind us. Yesterday I did my four mile walk at the lake for the first time in ages. Felt great!

A lot going on in my life just now -- had to help a friend check into the hospital for depression and alcohol issues, trying to find the right facility for her. Occasionally my mind goes to the acquiring of food -- my old mode -- and I remind mysef I don't do that anymore. What a relief! When my husband was in the hospital for two and a half weeks a couple of years ago I self-medicated with bread and cheese, muffins, etc. Being in that environment again triggered those desires but my band is there -- sometimes I think it's on my brain. A reminder.

Have a great day, all. I'm going to go manufacture some more endorphins now.

Congrats Julie. One of these days I'd like to take the plunge myself into the plastic surgery pool.

So.... I got on the scale this morning and I'm up to 116 1/2 lbs. I've been doing a little too much grazing since I've been in Florida. Got to cut this **** out. I worked way too hard to backslide now.

Oh...I have a date tomorrow night and another one on Saturday. Two different guys. This multiple dating thing is fun but also a bit exhausting trying to remember what I said to who...lol.

Thank you my board friends. It really helps to have some people to chat with. I'm growing quite fond of this board!

Maybe it's the meds! Ha

Good luck with dates Liz. Glad to see you so socially busy

I'm down for a few days. Gotta not overdo things

One huge self project this year for me

TT .. Really never thought I would do that. But I'm 60 and widowed and I'm WORTH it. Change can be good!

Wimping out on the lake this morning -- below freezing and so windy this morning and I Just can't do it. Saw the fifties on the thermometer yesterday and nearly wept for joy -- spring is definitely on the way. Meanwhile PT exercises with enthusiasm and some indoor walking somewhere later. With verve.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
