Ladies: How much loss 1st week?

Sorry gentlemen but guys weight loss amounts are wayyy higher than ours so keeping you out of this one lol!

Anyway, ladies, how much weight did you lose your first week post-op? I go to my first doc appointment after my surgery last Monday and hope I lost at least 6 lbs! Is this realistic??

I'm down 8 lbs since my surgery less than 5 days ago. I'm still on my clear liquid diet until Thursday so I'm sure that has contributed. Your goal is within reach!!! Good luck!

I lost 2.

I was down 10 lbs at my 1 week appt. Lost 4 in pre op diet so it was a total of 14 lbs. I am now 12 days post op

I refused to weigh myself for the first month. I didn't even want to look at the scale when I went to the doctor's office, but then I ended up taking a peak and remember being happy, but couldn't tell you the number. I do allow myself to weight myself once a week now, but frankly I just feel happy when I stick to the plan. Not eating garbage, not binge eating - what a feeling of freedom! And the fit of my pants tell me all I need to know! :)

I was down 13

20 lbs! I never lost that much again, though. I'm 5 weeks shy of being a year out and I average 2-3 pounds a month now. Good luck to you!!!

Isn't the amount one loses based on how much they have to lose? So one person who weighs 360 will more likely lose more than someone who weighs 220! I think percentages should be used to compare.

I gained the first week postop. Fluid weight. The most I ever lost in a given time frame was 22 pounds in 16 days PREOP. Everyone is different, and you will drive yourself crazy trying to compare yourself to others.

Thank you everyone! I'll let you know how I did tomorrow afternoon!

@ Amy, yes you are correct, our current weight def has to do with how much we can lose, thank you.

I lost 6lbs on my 1st week postop.

Start Weight-289lbs

Surgery Day Weight=281lbs

Current Weight 3.5 weeks postop-267lbs

I had a 12 day stall, the infamous 3 week stall got to me but lasted less than expected.

Hope this helps, to give you a small idea. Good Luck on your journey!

3 week stall? Try week 2 stall lol. I lost 12lbs the first week then 0 the second week, omg I'm going crazy over here..

Same her I was 260 on my orientation day 240 on my Surgery date 20lbs down in the first week post op total lost 40lbs, but I have also hit a stall since week 3 I am trying to not worry I don't eat too much, but I am super worried that this is it for me :(

No the 3 week stall means stuck for 3 weeks! Not on stuck on week 3. Its 3 weeks of not losing weight.
