  1. Today is our anniversary! I wanted to see how everyone is doing! Personally, I stalled and am back to basics now. I am happy with results thus far (60lbs) but these last 15 are being more than stubborn!!
  2. I started at 223. Down to 170. Has anyone started to experience hair loss? I am seeing a lot more hair shed and I already have thin hair? Scary! I get 100 g of protein a day and take biotin.
  3. I went for my 3 month appt yesterday. I am down 50 lbs and feel amazing! Had surgery May 1st!
  4. Surgery date was May 1, SW 223, CW 185 38 lbs gone forever! Along with my cholesterol med and HBP med! Love my sleeve!
  5. I was sleeved on May 1st. I went into surgery weighing 223, I was on two cholesterol medicines and a blood pressure med. I had been taking these for years! I am now 8 weeks post op and went for a follow up with my Endocrinologist for my Thyroid issue................. My cholesterol is now PERFECT, I am no longer pre diabetic and my blood pressure is PERFECT!! No more meds!! I am so happy! I will always have to take med for thyroid but I couldn't feel more victorious! Todays weight is 185! I chose this surgery for my health, and it WORKS! Love my sleeve!
  6. Weekly weigh in! 188.2!!!!!
  7. Weigh in June 13......still the same! 192!
  8. Ok, I guess I forgot where I started!!!! As of June 6 I weighed 192! Since then......stall!
  9. You would know I would hit my first stall!!!! Sitting idle for a week now
  10. We are 5+ weeks out. I am right at 30 lbs. I think I am now in my first stall!
  11. Thanks! I would say my staples are Fage Plain Greek Yogurt sweetened with one of my Torani Sugar Free syrups, Cottage Cheese, Premier Protein, Isopure carb drinks, sf popsicles and now that I can eat soft foods, I enjoy Sashimi and Miso soup! I feel I eat more than I should but keep it under 750 calories and track everything in MFP!
  12. Doing really well! I feel almost like I never had surgery, just can't eat near as much as before. -26 since May 1
  13. I am 4 weeks post op today. This morning I woke up and did a really big stretch and felt a POP inside the incision to the left of my belly button!!! It has me concerned. Was this an internal stitch?? Should I call my Doctor?? For a little while I felt a little pain but it went away and I haven't had any other problems. It was definitely a strange feeling and it felt like a stitch popped.
  14. Looks like you have already took the right step in loosing weight........meaning dead weight!! Good riddance to this controlling "friend"!! You will never regret this decision and look at all these new, supportive friends you have on here! Wishing you the best of luck!
  15. I love a challenge! I am in! Will post CW and goal Friday. I am 3 weeks post op and in the inevitable 3 week stall right now.
  16. This makes perfect sense!! I did have egg salad the other day and it was fine. The hard boiled egg today was pure hell for atleast an hour! Thanks for your reply!
  17. Thanks everyone!!! I am going to stick with yogurt, creamy Soups and such for another week. I never want to experience that again! So can someone please explain exactly what dumping is? Is it a bowel movement or a sick feeling? lol
  18. I am 3 weeks post op and have done extremely well.....no complications, problems or pain. (20 lbs down) My doctor moved me to soft foods yesterday ...woohoo!!! This morning, I felt pain in my gut. It was so painful, I skipped Breakfast. The feeling soon subsided a little with lots of GasX. Then I ate!!!!!! Mistake!! I had a boiled egg. Probably ate it too fast since it was 2 o'clock and I hadn't had anything all day for the pain I was having. OMG! My sleevie hurt so bad! I got up and walked, and walked and walked. Got clamy and finally, after about 30 minutes it passed. I am going back to creamy stage for fear of this again. I need to learn a lot, first and foremost, eat SLOWER! Is this what you call "dumping"? I have read conflicting posts regarding dumping....some say it is when you are sent running to the bathroom for emergency #2 and some say it is similar to what I experienced today.
  19. I went to Dr. Nirmal Jayaseelan (Dr. Jay) at the Dallas Bariatric Center. I also had UHC. He is rated top Doctor in Dallas many years running in D Magazine. Not only is he very personable, he is the nicest guy! I am so happy I chose him and HIGHLY recommend Dr. Jay!
  20. I was down 10 lbs at my 1 week appt. Lost 4 in pre op diet so it was a total of 14 lbs. I am now 12 days post op
  21. Good luck ladies! You will do great and be so happy!!!
  22. I was given samples of Bari Life supplements. They come in a powder form, you mix in water and have different flavors. these have all the vitamins we are supposed to have...all in one powder! I think I will order some because I do not like taking so many different pills!
  23. I had all the same fears. I had a week long food funeral and ate everything in masses. I finally realized I was tired of food controlling me. You will be so happy you made this choice! I am one week post op and am down 16 lbs today. And as far as the drinking, my doc told me yesterday that I can drink as much as i want after July as long as I have a DD! I am going on a girls cruise late July so I will see how it goes! : )
