Does anyone else have this problem? I'm actually getting looks from co-workers while at lunch! It's so embarrassing! Will this always happen???

I get that too sometimes, I don't think it has happened around anyone yet, seems like it's more after I drink water. I look forward to hearing what others have to say.

It happens to me every single time I drink any type of liquid, and it's uncontrollable, so it's highly embarrassing! I've resorted to ensuring that I'm nowhere near anybody when I'm drinking and even eating sometimes will do that too. I wish it would go away. I'm almost 6 months post-op and no improvement on that.

Happens to me too, hopefully it gets better. I'm 3 weeks out

As I read your post, I am having gurgling sounds. And yes my family can hear it loud and clear. It even happens when I am lying in bed ..I just are chicken curry with 1/3 cup of brown rice. My stomach had tough time with the brown rice.. That is why my gurgling is occurring now. .it also happens when I gulp water or drink lots of water. I don't get embarrassed when I am on front of others and it happens. It is just part of my new life now :))

I had what I called "dinosaurs fighting" in my tummy for the first 6 weeks after surgery. It would wake me and my fiancé up in the middle of the night. It only happens occasionally now, like not even once a week. So have hope, it gets better for some people :-)

Still happens to me. If I find I'm in a situation with others around me and it's especially loud, I talk back to it. I've gotten some of my friends to do it also. It's just one of those things.

I'm still pre-op and this already happens to me. I guess it's going to get worse???!

Yep, it happens to me as well. Less the further post-op I get. But soup pretty much always makes it happen.
