APRIL 21st Sleevers!

Recommended Posts

Hey Sabrine. Things are pretty good so far. Waiting for my ultrasound of lower extremities now. After that I'm done.

I'm meeting up with some of ladies this evening that are having the sleeve here in the Chicago area. Kind of a support group. I'm looking forward to meeting them and discussing our journey.

That really nice! How did you all hook up? I tried to make friends at the one nutritional class that was required but nobody was receptive. It would have been nice bc it was all for the same surgeon and three of them were the same day as me.

Anyway. I am going to a bachelorette party tonight. I gotta try to make myself presentable. Of course I've already adopted this feeling of,"great. I'm the only fat girl in our group" but then I realized that won't be the case much longer!! I'm gonna have me some dirty martins and oysters and sushi and kick off my liquid diet right on Monday!!! Have a great night!!

I had put up a Chicago thread. A few said they were interested in meeting up. So I got a location date and time. This afternoon 3 of the 6 said they couldn't make. Being that I am 1 of the last 3 that haven't responded and said they were coming I am goin to still go. If I get another cancel I will just reschedule. I thought it would be nice to get together and talk with others having the sleeve but it may not happen tonight.

Have a great time a the bachelorette party. Martinins and sushi sound awesome!

I am so ready to see how the next two weeks go!!

Preop weight: 277

Let's see what I drop by the 21st.

Hi my name is sarah. Im 37 and having the sleeve on the 23. Im divorced with two girls 6 and 8. I havent told my family - we arent close. A few of the ladies at work will help me post op and I am hoping things go smoothly. Seems like its going to take forever before it gets here and I go from being totally nervous n freaked out to just wanting it to be over. I want to start my life - not being fat, and being able to do things more with my girls. Not being tired all the time. Not having everything hurt. The last time I had surgery it didnt go well and long story short my life fell apart. So this is bringing up alot of emotions and anxiety. I am putting all my hopes on this that it will give me a jump start to help me change my life. To help me become better and healthier for my girls but what if I fail at this like I have failed at everything else what if this causes more problems then it helps what if what if lol sorry guys i really dont have anyone to talk to pls im not trying to cause anyone to have doubts I just dont know what to do anymore

Always a labrat it is fine. We are here to support each other. I think a lot of what u are feeling has went thru many our minds. Especially what if we fail. When u tried so many things and nothing works. I decided to commit to do my best. If I fall to get back up and get back on it. I have given up when I fell off. I'm determined to keep moving no matter what obstacle comes.

This may be your time to come to grips with what's been going on to prepare for a brand new beginning.

Hey always...we all have had failures in our lives. It's what brought me to my decision to sleeve. I have 2 kids and hope to succeed for them. I want to be able to be active WITH them.

You can always vent here. I am so happy that I found this site for the support that I lack in my life. We are here for each other.

So first day of the liquid diet is OVER!! I made it! It wasn't so bad but I definitely got a little moody the last hour the kids were still up. Lol. Do I go for my PST tomorrow and the last appt with the surgeon before the big day. Are there any questions I'm forgetting to ask??? Hope everyone else survived the first day (at least those of us with 2weeks!!)

So I bought EAS chocolate and it tastes like yoohoo. Not bad. Also bought premiere and it was richer in flavor. I chilled both to the point of frosty chunks and it was pretty good. I also ordered medifast but it doesn't come until Thursday. I'll let you know how it is. How did you do today? Was it your first day?

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
