I am trying to figure out how no one has a June 16th date. I guess I'm riding solo lol!

My first dr visit was March 18th and my surgery is scheduled for June 9th. My surgeon requires 3 visits 1 month apart with him, 2 NUT appointments, a psych eval, clearance from a pulmonologist and cardiologist. I'm not sure how many of those are insurance requirements versus his requirements but so far it's been a smooth process. The insurance originally balked at paying the NUT appointments but we appealed and they paid.

My insurance is reviewing my file finally. I never thought I would get to this point. They say it will take 30 days but I really hope it doesn't take that long :/ I was really hopeing for June 9th or June 16th date but I am not sure thats going to happen if they take the full 30 days.

My insurance is also reviewing my file Mimi! I am stressed that they will not approve me, but I am still excited to have gotten this far.

I see many people are scheduled for June 9th! I am set for June 10th- 5 weeks to go till I start my journey.

I called UHC everyday to check the status of my case. They didn't care, the reps told me to call me as much as I needed.

Oops I sent it before I was done.

Ok in between all those appointments I saw a psych doctor for two hrs with a 100+ questioner, Nutx3 along with his nurse practitioner . She gave me a card that I can give restaurant people to allow me half portions or order from kids menus .

On April 25 I got a date and the following Friday I got insurance approval. I was so happy to hear that. I have a Fitbit and I watch my steps. I would like to lose 10 more lbs before June 9th.

Scared, excited, looking at recipes , blogs and Pinterest to get ideas so I won't bored with eating!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
