New Fill... Can this be green?

Recommended Posts

I had a fill today and am on soft foods! Only got .1 cc's so I am at 6.5 in my 10 cc band! How immediate is green when your this close! I can drink and eat with no problem but after 4 bites I was done! I know I could be swollen and it might loosen up ... But for those in green is that sensation that I don't want anymore going to stay??? Not a full sensation.. Just a sensation that I don't need anymore! Hoping for green!!!!

There is no one definition of being in the green zone or sweet spot. We all have to find what works for us.

For some, it's impossible to eat more than a half cup of food and to eat more would cause stress and discomfort. For me, it's being loose enough that I mitigate stuck episodes and tight enough that I feel the satiety signals when they present themselves.

I think my band tightness would be too loose for some but it works for me. The green zone can change over time due to things like the fat around your stomach melts away making the band a little looser. Or, your esophagus and stomach rely on peristalsis to move food through the stoma so those muscles can become stronger over time making it appear that your band has become loose when it's just that your body is more efficient at moving food into your lower stomach.

Sounds like you're approaching the green zone. Good luck.

Love tmf's response above. I found 6.5 to be quite tight at the beginning. I waited it out for two weeks, and I still couldn't do solids until dinnertime. So I got .5 taken out, bringing me down to 6.0 total in a 10cc band. That is usually my sweet spot but as I lose weight, I can sense that I'd like a few little cc's more. For me 6.5 was too tight 10 pounds ago, but may be ideal at my current weight.

My test on a fill is if I can eat my small bites and small portions of solids for lunch and dinner two weeks after the fill. (Breakfast is not a strong marker because I'm always tight in the morning anyway.) If I can, then I've got the correct level of fill for me.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
