Maureen...yes we will never forget. I was on the australian lapband blog today and they made some really comforting statements about 911.

Sandra - your hubbly...did you tell him where you'll put that foot!

Weazer

Thank you Weazer.. you're right. My clothes fit much looser.. most of them I dont even need to unbutton to take off.. but you know how it is.. you really dont feel a sense of accomplishment until you see it on the scale. Very frustrating!

That's why i'm scared to get on one! I have a dermatologist appt later today. I will hide my eyes if they put me on a scale! I am still getting compliments each day, but it is always on my cloths. I don't think most people are noticing the weight loss..just that something is different. I unfortunatly suffer from too much pride. I don't like it when people comment on my weight, unless they do it when we are alone. I just don't like explaining to a group of people that I don't know or am not close with how I am losing wght. It is just so personal to me. Maybe I am too sensitive!

I am still to sensitive.

Everyone is doing so well....congrats on all the victories, scale and non-scale alike! Melissa, your gown is breathtaking!

NSV - NSV - Major NSV........

Lastnight, my DH was watching TV. I was in the other room cleaing out my closet, because that morning I was have a real hard time finding something to wear to work. I have been inbetween sizes and some thing too big and some things just a little bit tight. I was trying on clothes, and walking the the living room and asking what did he think. The first few time he said "That looks nice" the next few times "Wow, you look great" well this went on for awile, I then I came in the room with this SIZE 12 sun dress, (it was cut down kinda low in the front), he said "Honey, you look fine........................." No more TV watching for him or trying on clothes for me..... LOL. I just love my band (and my DH)

Laura

Weazer- I also do not tell people that I have been banded. Only a select handful of people know... When asked I just tell them that I'm watching what I eat and exercising...which is all true.

Laura- WONDERFUL for you!!

Melissa, I was having the same problem. My scale droped to 224 a few weeks ago and I was beyond excited. Then it crept back up to 227 even though I continued to work out and eat right. A few days ago I dropped down to 222! Just when I thought me and the scale were going to have it out once and for all. I am hoping to get another week or two of continued loss before it does this again. I hate it. But all the while my clothes have been looser and looser so I am happy no matter what the scale says.

Thanks Ragdoll..

I think it may because TOM is nearing. This afternoon I've noticed that twinge of cramping I usually get a couple days before.

I'm getting REALLY frustrated!

I've been flirting with the same 2-3 lbs I lost 2 weeks ago..the scale wont budge! I'm eating well, drinking my Water and even hit the gym several times in the past 2 weeks! TOM isnt due for another week... I'm wondering if its starting to add the lbs early! UUGHH!!!!

I like how you put that..."flirting" LOL you crack me up!!

Melissa,

Don't you just love the backhanded compliments? My dh will come out with them now and then. I think they honestly don't know any better, they don't think. (or as the saying goes, they speak before they think).

I also think it just doesn't come out right. My dh thinks he's so funny sometimes. Ha! But just know how great you look in your new wedding dress that will have to be taken in!! That will put a smile on your face.

PS I know all about those 2 - 3 pounds. Last Wed I was at 200, but just can't seem to reach onderland. What's up with that? Up 3 pounds, down 2. Geez.

Also, whoever mentioned those ff refried Beans with cheese, I love you!! I just heated some up (in the microwave, as recommended), and they are so yummy. Never had them before, but I definitely will again.

NSV...they're my favorite

I went to a class at my church tonight and saw and old friend that I hadn't seen in 14 years. I have to admit, I had gotten into the habit of dodging old friends, not wanting them to see me. I went to say "Hi" and she responded with "You look great...haven't changed". If she only knew how much I had changed.

Made me think about how it took me 15 years to get where I was...helps me be a little more patient (sometimes) on getting back down.

Another NSV...I crossed my legs to take notes on my lap. I haven't done that in 14 years (my last baby), sure felt "normal". I can truely say I'm starting to feel "normal", instead of always looking around to see if I'm the fattest person in the room. :car:

Is everybody else running out of clothes too? It's really fun to shop the "normal" sizes. Xl are fitting great, and last night I wore my son's L hoodie, put it on just for fun to see how tight it would be. It wasn't tight at all...plenty of room!!! :P
