    May 2007 Banders

Hi all, I am working my band the best I can. I has a motorcycle accident last October and there went my exercising. Got back to exercising in February and then promptly had ingrown toenails on both feet removed . Started exercising a few weeks ago and weight started down again. Now I found out I have to have bunions and tendons on each foot operated on in June. I CAN'T loose without exercise so I will try lots of upper body and see how that does because I will be on crutches for at least 6 weeks and off exercise for 6 months to a year . I never loose hope or look behind me so I will be just fine!!

I am in the same boat...I got careless and lazy and gained 8 lbs. I have taken it off and I am exercising 6-7 days a week. I am lucky if I loose a lb a week...........patience is becoming one of MY virtues!

:thumbup:I have been among the missing but was suprised to see that I am not the only one. I have re-committed to logging onto the site everyday and am back to exercising. I have gained about 8 lbs and don't want to go any further in that direction!

    Husband doesn't notice weight loss

I lost the majority of my weight before I met my fiance. I have lost about 30 lbs since meeting him...he didn't say anything until one morning I asked him how come he would "move my butt around" during the night...he said "because your bones are poking me...if you loose anymore I will need pads!" That was enough for me
  8. I had to have two surgerys, one on a Friday, in hospital for weekend and the next on Monday....all because the doctor up in a band knowing it was probably too small...and it was! Despite that and not being able to reach my goal, I would do it again RIGHT NOW! I am on no meds and wear a size 6 pants...oh yeah and I met the man of my long forgotten dreams and will be married next spring!!
  9. I have 6 cc's in my 14 cc band and had my last fill in January. I have had a few days when I thought I might need another fill but most of the time I have perfect restriction. Too bad ice cream will go down no mater what!

Metalband, hang in there....I hit a wall at one point too...we tend to be way too hard on ourselves. I went way too long without a fill because I thought I should have learned enough by now to do it on my own....why would I think that when I am 58 and have struggled since I was a child? I got the band for a reason and it is alright for me to rely on it...you can do this!!

Hi everyone, Just stopping in to wish everyone a happy anniversary. Although I didn't reach my ulitimate goal as of yet, I, as of yesterday(which is actually my 2 yr anniv), weigh less than I can EVER remember weighing...and that was in grade school and I was under 5'!!!! I have more exciting news. I have met the man that I have waited for all my long life. We are engaged and will be married Feb 14th, 2010. His last name is Valentine I had totally given up on finding the right man for me after marrying the wrong ones 4X(alcoholics) and was devoting myself to my career and family....it is true, when you stop looking, there they are! Anyway, again, happy anniversary to one and all!

I had a fill in January and am still so tight I can't eat until 1 or 2 and still can only eat less than a cup.....maybe it is the 2 yr mark! Glad to see everyone is still hanging in there!

I would try not eating for at least 3 hours before bed as was recommended when I had my surgery. I experienced this after my last fill but since it was the best one I have had, I rode it out...it took a few weeks for it to loosen where I could have anything but protein drinks before dinner time but it was worth it and I made sure I got enough calories.

Well it is good to know that this is a common struggle. I had gotten comfortable with 30 lbs left to go. I was in a smaller size than I can EVER remember so I relaxed....I went for another fill in January and have lost 11 of the 30! WE CAN DO THIS! YEAH US!

    DFW Area Bandsters

Hello neighbors one and all! I live in Terrell and work in Plano right now. My journey had stalled for about a year..maintained..I actually had gotten "happy" with my size but decided that still didn't put me at goal and because of the history of cancer in my family, goal is important! I just got a fill two weeks ago and now I am down another 11 lbs...THE BAND IS WONDERFUL!

I am here to say I am BACK on the "band" wagon! I was content with a 65 lb loss for too long...I had never been a size 8 in my life so I got stuck there. I just found a fabulous fill doctor in Tyler that does them fluro and on Saturday and I got a fill this past weekend...I AM TIGHT and loving it....I also joined Weight Watchers to help with the last 30 lbs and it is working!

I am here! HAHA...staying busy and trying to stay focused on the exercise and staying away from foods that "slide" too well...I think I got very comfortable with a size 8 although I still have more to loose....I am going to join WW in January and see if the support won't help me stay disiplined.

Hi everyone..it has been forever since I posted. I have started reading the most current and will work my way backwards. It looks like I am not the only one struggling. Trust me when I say this, it is ALL my fault. I lost my job last September and didnt find a new one until March of this year. I also had a problem with my doctor and decided to start with a new one. ... I FINALLY saved up enough money for a fill ($300!)and went today. I am here to pledge my devotion to working again with my band. Like so many others, I am happy to say although I had hoped to be at goal by now and I haven't gotten there, I fluxuate with the same 5 lbs and I am proud of myself for that!
  21. Good afternoon everyone...I thought I would post my most recent pictures..sometimes it helps me to have an objective eye....I have slowed down the last two months..probably the holidays but it is the FIRST year I can say I haven't gained.....I started in May at a size 22 and now buy only 10's so I feel very confident I can finish my journey beginning with the new year!

    May 2007 Banders

Good morning fellow May Bandsters...I am here to brag...yes, I said brag! That is not my nature but I am so stinking proud of myself I can't contain it any longer...it has been 6 months today since I got Daisy (my band) and I am down 65 lbs.....no small feat for this 57 yr old woman! This past 6 months has brought about a lot of changes for me, some bad but most good and this is by far the best! I have more self confidence than ever in my life and I am truly thankful for each and every day. My doctor told me, barring any natural disasters, I have added 20 yrs to my life and my head doc said live each and every day to it's fullest! I intend to do just that.... :clap2::Banane34:
