I'm GREEN..... I'm GREEN at last!

You know how "you just know it" when you meet the "right" person, or when you're having a great day? No one can explain it to you or describe it to you, except through their own experience...... But, when you experience it, "YOU JUST KNOW IT!" That's how being GREEN is for me.... I read about it ( a lot), I heard others talk about it (a lot), I researched it (a lot), but now..... I JUST KNOW IT! And now I know why I NEEDED to wait these few months before I found MY sweet spot. For me, I needed my brain to catch up with reality. I don't think I was ready (mentally) for the truly small portions I am now eating. Thankful that "I'M GREEN AT LAST!"

CONGRATULATIONS and THANK YOU for the post!

I was banded Dec 18, 2013 and still have NO restriction whatsoever. I see the doc today and I know he plans only to do .25cc getting me to 4.25ccs in my 10cc band. For the first 2 weeks after last fill I thought I was close but these last 2 weeks have been willpower...a will I've been failing miserably at!

I keep hearing the Nutritionist tell me "the first 12 months after surgery are the fastest moving" and I'm thinking "ummm, I have 7 months left and I'm not doing too great..."

Shana, we've had similar journeys. I lost 12 lbs right after surgery and then nothing for the next 3.5 months. It wasn't till my 3rd fill, 4 months out of surgery that I finally started to feel some restriction/satiety with the band. My surgeon was cautious too, maybe not as cautious as yours but it can happen with your next fill. If not, you need to press him a little?

Almost a year and a half after surgery I am finally in green. I've been feeling so great, band doing exactly what it's supposed to. I'm afraid its going to go away or something.

That's wonderful!
