Anyone having the sleeve in april?!

Hi my name is Jackie from Miami fl! My surgery is scheduled April 2 and I am super nervous! I hope I get the approval from the insurance... My fiancé doesn't talk about my surgery at all unless I mention something about it. In definitely looking for others to talk to about my journey.

Yea I am excited. But I won't get really scared till I see the operating room. That's wat happened to me wen I had my son i had a c section and I was calm till then.

I walked in the operating room with a smile on my face cracking jokes & prayed up. I cant believe i wasn't scared. Say a prayer & u will be fine. Good luck & i will keep u in my prayers.

HI

Im scheduled for April 16th. Pre op apt April 8th and than start liquids for a week. Any ideas of what brand protein shakes you all are going to start for your pre op liquids?

I just bought EAS, premiere, and muscle milk 100. I start my liquid tomorrow!! I'll let u know which is my fav! I also ordered medifast but it won't come till Thursday.

Good luck to all of you guys getting sleeved this month! I was just sleeved the 2nd and the first few days were a lil rough from recovering from anastesia but now being 4 days out I am feeling great! Very little pain, able to drink without any issue other than burping, tolerating my Protein, and walked a mile yesterday and today!

I am so happy for those of you that will be coming to this "side" soon! I know not all surgeries and recoveries are the same but if anyone has questions... I will gladly help and answer what I can :).

Congrats!!!! I start preop Wednesday and I don't really know what to expect or do?? I'm so nervous. I'm doing the bariatric powder protein diet for 12 days then surgery the 21st. Any advice for a newbie?? I'm 23yrs old so it's all new to me.

Erin,

You don't know what to do as far as?

The pre-op part, I only had to do three days of the Protein liquids before surgery so it wasn't bad but from what I understand the first few days are the worst and then it gets easier!

To help the time pass, I sat down and made a list of everything I needed to have done before going into the hospital and then a lists of what to take. Each day I just made sure to cross one thing off the before list and I journaled A LOT to have an outlet for feelings! I also tried to do some form of work out each day (beyond the 3 days obviously) to make sure my body was the best it could be for surgery!

Try to relax and enjoy the journey! Surgery will be here and gone before you know it :)

On my way to the hospital! Its official my new chapter begins

I like the premier already made shakes from costco, some walmarts, sams club, and walgreens. I have also tried and liked the dymatize ISO-100 from GNC and Vitamine Shoppe. Not sure how i will feel about them after surgery but for now they all taste like pudding!

My date is April 29...I have my pre-op appointment this Thursday, and still have 3 pounds to lose for them to do my surgery! AUGH! Very stressful.

Good morning all!! Hope everyone is doing well today! I am ONE week post op and doing pretty good. I spent 2 nights in the hospital (was only going to be one but nausea and an episode of vomiting landed me a second night) and came back to work yesterday ( I have a desk job ). I am still sore/tender around incision sights and would have taken a few more days off if not for a small office with vacations to cover but I am doing well. I did a 2 week pre-op diet and combined with post op weight loss have ditched 28.6 pounds thus far. I LOVE powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury chicken Soup and Premier Protein in chocolate and find low sodium chicken broth to be my favorite fluid - it's like a treat to me right now! I find it easy just to focus one day at a time. Good luck to all this month!!! I LOVE MY SLEEVE!!
