Anyone having the sleeve in april?!

I don't really measure calories, I just focus on getting my protein in first....still have a shake or bar a day and eat veggies as my secondary food source after protein. My common food items these days are cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, green veggies, fresh fruit, lentils and quinoa. Taking it one day at a time and drinking lots of water (with Crystal Light cause plain is not the same anymore!)

    Sleevers over 300lbs?

HW: 375.4 CW: 277.0 Surgery was just under 4 months ago....the sleeve is the best thing I have done for myself! I would not change a thing. This tool is a great tool and I learn more about it every day. We can all do this, one day at a time!!

Anyone having the sleeve in april?!

Good morning all!! Hope everyone is doing well today! I am ONE week post op and doing pretty good. I spent 2 nights in the hospital (was only going to be one but nausea and an episode of vomiting landed me a second night) and came back to work yesterday ( I have a desk job ). I am still sore/tender around incision sights and would have taken a few more days off if not for a small office with vacations to cover but I am doing well. I did a 2 week pre-op diet and combined with post op weight loss have ditched 28.6 pounds thus far. I LOVE unjury chicken Soup and Premier Protein in chocolate and find low sodium chicken broth to be my favorite fluid - it's like a treat to me right now! I find it easy just to focus one day at a time. Good luck to all this month!!! I LOVE MY SLEEVE!!
  7. I'm a private person who tends to keep stuff to myself and a few close people. DH wants me to tell my sister and dad (I think he's worried if something went wrong and they had to find out that way). I understand his thinking but don't want to be under anyone's microscope or hear their negativity. What's a girl to do? Surgery is 12 days away
  8. Finally, after a long year of research, discussion, appointments, insurance hoops, and recently, multiple blood draws due to abnormal numbers, my day is almost here!!! Tomorrow, I will be on the other side and start working this tool I have been learning so much about. I have lost 20 pounds already on my 2 week pre-op diet and am ready to see much more go away. Make room on the loser's bench, this girl is joining the team!!

    Tomorrow is the day!

I keep trying to tell myself....you'll be there soon but it does seem like everything SLOWS down big time just before the big day.....now to keep the nerves in check

    Tomorrow is the day!

my white blood cell count......I had the crud that was going around a few weeks back and it seems to ahve ben from that but to be sure, doc wanted to redraw last week and again today.....I've been on the edge of my seat until about 4 hours ago trying to find out if tomorrow was a\for sure or not but now I found out it is.....finally!
  11. Anyone have elevated white blood cell counts before surgery? Doc checked mine a second time and some of the numbers are still elevated, though not as high as last week's numbers. I've had a cold, nothing major and allergies are in full swing. I'm just wondering if he might postpone surgery? Surgery is currently set for Tuesday.

THEY WANT TO DO WHAT....HELP ME

I am still pre-op as well. Very interested in finding out the answer too. Good luck to you!

THEY WANT TO DO WHAT....HELP ME

That's kinda scary....you're not supposed to drive yourself after having an EGD. This will be my 3rd one (acid reflux issues for years) and all 3 I have had strict instructions that I cannot drive after. In fact, I have to bring my driver to the appointment or they will not do the procedure - I think that is pretty standard. You might want to consider having someone drive you anyway. Good luck to you!

    Any April 1st sleevers?

Hey fellow April sleevers!!! I'm set for April Fool's Day as well Today is Day #3 of pre-op diet and not as hungry as I thought I would be....I'm lucky enough to get to much on veggies as needed throughout the day and the greens have been my friend! EGD tomorrow and one last blood draw next week and then good to go. Very excited and nervous all at once but ready to be on the other side for sure!

    Surgery June 25, 2013

Congrats to you! Your coordinator/insurance issues sound very similar to mine... I was told the same thing about my time w/WW counting for my supervised diet time....now I wait for my additional appointments and probably six months but it gives me time to keep learning and absorbing info now....keep up the good work!

Before and after 11 months !

You look fabulous!! Congrats on your hard work!
  24. Hang in there...I TOTALLY get where you're coming from! I was told I would not need the 6 months but apparently my employer requires it (not my insurance). My first meeting via phone is next week. It's weird...I have to do phone calls with a third party nurse and dietitian who will then decide if I should be qualified. ..nerve wracking but I'm too stubborn not to stick it out. ..good luck to you!
