Did anyone get a video or photos during surgery?

I asked if I could see my stomach after they removed it and he said no, they needed to send it off to pathothy (regulations and what not) but if it was the 80s he would have sent it home with me. Haha. He said he'd be happy to take some pictures after I'm sleeved. I'm wondering if anyone else has made the same request or if they have a video. Hopsitals should really offer an add-on bloggers package so you leave with a souviner of pictures and a dvd. Lol I'd totally pay for it!

LOL you're hilarious.

Reminds me of after my son's birth. I was so intrigued by the placenta that I took a pic.

Most surgeries are video recorded and as your medical records, you are entitled to copies of them.

I saw pictures, but never thought to ask for copies.... ;)

I didn't see it I wanted to ask and I completely forgot. =( my mother whom was in the waiting room got to see it she said it was a jar with my stomach the doctor showed it to her she should've took a pic but didn't know I wanted to see it.

I have a picture of my stomach! My husband had it framed, LOL!

I had my surgery in Mexico and was was given a full write up of the surgery performed, all of my bloodwork and ekg results ( for my records here at home ) PLUS a video of my surgery and a video of my barium swallow. I have not had the courage to watch the video of my surgery yet...too soon!

Yes I was given a picture of the portion of my stomach that was removed.

I got pictures of everything including the befor and after pics of my hiatal hernia lol. Interesting stuff!
