Last night at 6on I decided to have a Protein Drink for dinner and get on the bed for a movie since hubby is out of town. I mixed my Unjury and I guess I rushed it.. I spent an hour between passing out, hot flash, cold flash, nausea, puking. . Never puked, never fainted but I was better off dead!!

Wow....hope you are ok now.

If you hadn't said it was Unjury I would have thought you had drank something with sugar.

well I am pretty sure it was the fact that I drank it too fast. Doc said my pouch is the size of an egg and it was about 10 oz of Water with the Unjury. My husband thinks when we dump its not always the last thing we had but the combination of the size and value of what is in our pouch.. I had not had anything in over an hour and the last thing I had was a teaspoon of Peanut Butter, so all I can figure is that I drank it too fast.

Ironically my doc told me to have the occasional teaspoon of Peanut Butter and so I did. It hurt. But it was regular but smooth peanut butter, (I really misunderstood) not the powdered type. I think because it was sticky, it kind of got stuck.

Maybe some of your peanut butter remained in the pouch, then when you had the shake it kind of filled up.

Yeah, that's what happens with me. I think I can handle more than 4-6 ounces at a time and then comes the pouch pain reminder! It doesn't matter that those 4-6 ounces are liquid, chewy, or dry, or a combination. If I try to eat more than that at one "meal", I'm gonna regret it!

So far I have no problem with liquids at all...and can drink them normally, fast like pre op.

Mushy is not so bad...

Oh I can't drink fast at all. I can feel it splash and sometimes seems like it's not wanting to stay down.

I can't drink fast either. I'm only two weeks out but it feels like it sticks in my esophagus or wants to come back up if I drink fast.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
