2 weeks post op....... weight gain?

Well I am 2 weeks post op and gained 1.4 lbs!!!!! How is that possible? Things have been going great but when I stepped on the scale this morning I had gained weight. Of course I was disappointed and now all I wanna do is figure out what I was doing wrong. Could I already be hitting a stall? Some advice would be great!!

At 2 weeks, I wouldn't worry, it's still very new. Your body still has a lot of that gas & junk that they pumped in you for the surgery. Don't worry. Stick to your plan & you'll be pleasantly surprised. I noticed that its normal for me that my weight fluctuates in any given week. I would weigh myself on Mondays & notice 1or 2 lbs gained which would worry me, but by Thursday I've lost them. So don't worry. Stick to your plan & it will work out. Good luck!!!!

Yep, no worries. You've had major surgery. All kinda things can impact weight in the short run, but your stomach won't grow back... Just follow your plan and ignore the scale. It'll All Work Out. PS, we all have stalls!!!

how often are you weighing yourself?

If you are doing it everyday-STOP!

Once a week is more than enough or you will drive yourself crazy (we've all been there)... as you know the same day and time every week gives you a better reading... just relax and follow your plan, you should be fine :)

I only weigh myself once a week. I am hoping it's just a stall. A friend said it may be that I started regular food after just 7 days. Unlike a normal pre op diet that has stages.

I didn't read ur post and have just posted the same question I lost 26 pounds on my first month and these past few days I gained 4 :( seems since I introduced carbs or constipation
