I'm having a reg sized bowl of strained Chinese hot n sour soup!!!!! My taste buds are in heaven!!!! But still very surprised that I can drink as much of Soups and broths as I can. Good news... I'm 18 lbs down since day 1 of my pre op. 5 of which I've lost since surgery!

That's awesome!!! Congrats!! I'm actually about to have a bowl of strained Lipton chicken noodle Soup

That's great. Keep the nerves away as long as possible! They don't do anything to help us. Lol.

I'm bipolar and also suffer from Generalized Anxiety Disorder. I'm so surprised that I've not freaked out. I'll save that for tomorrow

Yeah. I remember you telling me that a while back. Just count the calm as a much needed break/blessing before surgery. And be on here as much as possible. It has been so helpful for me!

I measured it and its 1.5-2 cups at a time. It takes me about 30 mins to eat it but I'm really worried.

I'm only 4 days post op. So I can only do about 2oz every 15-20 minutes. Everyone is different.

I'm hoping its only because it is liquids right now. Hopefully once there's also some substance with the liquids it'll make us feel fuller without the quantity

I'm 12 days out and I can drink like that too. I think maybe our new stomachs didn't swell as much as others. I know I've been able to take regular swallows since day of surgery. I'm grateful it's been this easy to get the liquids in

Not me. I am 10 days post op and it takes me an hour to drink a cup of flavored water and if I try to drink my Proteins too fast my stomach cramps up an I get nauseous. So it is still sip, sip,sip for me. The good part is I am down 10lbs since surgery.

So I did my 1 week post-op weigh in and I'm down 14.5lbs since surgery!! That's a total loss of 30.2lbs since I started my pre-op!! Super happy!!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
