Fill too tight

Recommended Posts

Just got a slight (.5cc) unfill and am SO glad. I waffled back and forth on whether or not I should get a bit taken out. But the fear of a dialated pouch or band erosion, coupled with the constant tightness in my chest...whether I was eating or not...made me go back and get some Fluid removed.

Awwww....instant relief. What a difference .5 makes. I know I'm eating better, too...no more slider foods/bowls of Soup, etc, which weren't filling me up.

I just got a full on Thursday, added .5 cc and I feel like its way too tight I think I need to infill just 1/4 , I can keep Water down if I drink it very slowly , 7 oz in an hour, I made potato leek Soup and it couldn't go down, it came right back up , do I go for unfollow right away or will it loosen in a few days and I would b able to handle a bit more liquids?

I also feel like at night I have stuff stuck in my throat and I'm burping it up all night

I've decided to have some of my fill removed this week. While it has loosen some it is still to tight after three weeks. I hate to do it , but when I donated blood today I realized I'm not getting enough nutrition. I've been on the verge of passing out ever since. All I can do is eat ice chips and half of what I've put down has come back up. I realize now it is not a good thing not being able to eat and keep it down.

Good call. A tiny infill will make a world of diifference. I know a lot of newbies think they will lose more or faster if they are adjusted too tight, but search this forum and you will see that being really tight can cause you to revert to sliders and smoothies which can pack on the pounds. Here's to you feeling better soon and your steady, continued weight loss. Please be patient, so many are in such a rush!

I made myself a smoothie today and it was too thick came right back up, same with a yogurt and now having a tea, coming back up too

I will call my dr tomorrow and see when the earliest I can go to him is

You should not wait for 4 months to decide you are too tight! if food and drink doesn't go down, you should get a slight unfill. Too tight is worse than not enough. Soon with too tight, we either learn to eat around with sliders, o we end up in the hospital with dehydration. Please be careful and call for an unfill if necessary. karen...aka..kll724

U should not wait 4 months that's way too long!

I went yesterday for a .5 unfill and thank gd I went cuz I was dehydrated which I wouldn't of know otherwise , do dr took out the full that he put in last week so I can eat a bit and regain my strength and I will go back this week to get .2 cc and if that's too tight then obviously I'm good at 6 cc but we def realized that 6.5cc is too tight for me ( again everyone is different)

From my surgery date October 9 I lost 20 lbs

Good for you! Personally, I can't tolerate anything above 5 cc! Karen..aka.kll724

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
