Congratulations that a date has been selected. Welcome to this great forum. A wealth of knowledge is here on this forum. The search engine is very helpful and helps eliminate repeated questions.

Best wishes and Keep the Faith

welcome to the forum. this place has a wealth of information on it. it literally saved my life. i had already had surgery when i found this site and boy i was so lost and felt so alone until these ppl came into it. so keep coming back and use us over and over again. as far as surgery goes may it be a speedy and uneventful recovery. hope to see you back on here letting us know how things are going.

Congratulations and good luck.

You've probably read this by now from other people - but I survived the first week after surgery with a lot of walking, gas-x (chewables for me but a lot of people prefer the strips), heating pad on the shoulder and ice pack on the incision / port area. Let us know how you're doing.

Hi there and congratulations -- Wednesday is almost here! I was banded in November and I am so happy. I really believe in the walking all you can to kick off the healing process, release any trapped gas, etc. Really helped me. I had filled a pain medication prescription but didn't use it as I didn't want the side effects. Was fine on a little liquid Tylenol and Ibuprofen. Popsicles were nice to have at home. It all seems like so long ago and that's the way you'll feel a few short months from now. Best wishes to you!

Welcome to this site! I like to think that we are here as cheerleaders and as people who can understand your pain, frustrations, etc. Your time is almost here! Karen..kll724

Welcome! You're almost to the starting line. :D These last couple of days are huge, take the opportunity to be sure you have all of your ducks in a row and everything you need all ready to go and at your fingertips so that you can spend your first week or so post op concentrating on resting, walking, and recovering. It's nice to not have to worry or stress when you should be focused on pampering and spoiling yourself. :D

Good luck on your surgery and your recovery! Come back often and read and participate and get support. We're here for you.
