Feeling AMAZING! New Year New ME!

Feeling so blessed that I made the decision to take hold of my life again with the lapband!!! I had surgery on May 30, 2013 topping the scale at 289lbs; as of my last weigh-in on December 6, 2013, I'm down 105lbs. I can't express how life changing this whole journey has been for me! I feel soooo much better and am able to enjoy my life again. I'm able to do things I wasn't able to do before and I have that happiness back I was missing. I guess I never truly realized how many avenues of my life was affected/altered by my weight. I still have about 30lbs or so to go until I reach my goal weight. My next monthly check-up is in 4 days and I'm hoping to be even closer to my goal. I'm proof that if you work the band, the band will work for you! I must admit these last couple of weeks have been hard with the holidays as far as making the correct food choices are concerend; yes, I had a couple of Cookies and a few chips and dip but NOTHING compared to what I would've had without my band, my portions were controlled even though I didn't make the wisest choices; which just makes me appreciate the choice I made even more. Take hold of TODAY and make it your own......WE CAN DO THIS!

I don't think it's a coincidence that we follow a very similar food plan (also per my nutritionist) and have lost a similar amount of weight. In fact, I suspect based on your BMI and mine, we're about the same height as well.

You're absolutely right not a coincidence at all. I'm 5'1.5 (can't forget that.5:)). Friend me so we can support one another to our goal and beyond.

LoveNlife- To be honest, I really don't know how many cc's I have in my band. I believe I have a 10cc band. I've had two fills since my surgery in May and feel I'm where I should be for now. For me it's all about how I feel, everyone is different so what may be enough Fluid for me may not be the right amount for someone else. I perfer the conservative approach, I don't want to be too tight and be miserable, I hate getting sick and so far through my journey I haven't one time. Also the Dr.'s have told me that being too tight will actually make you gain weight, stretch out your pouch and possibly even dialate your esophagus so, they tell me if I'm still losing, and if I'm not increasing my portions or snacking all the time that if it's not broke, don't fix it, so I'm just riding the wave:-)

How many cc's do you have in your band and do you have a 10cc band or a 10cc band
