Pre op diet over the holidays

My pre op diet starts on 12/23/13. We always have a big dinner for Christmas and New Years. How am I going to cope with broth only???????

It was tough for me too - two big dinners & I ate unbuttered vegies and a Protein shake. I'm starting to understand that my relationship to food has to change. I tried to concentrate on enjoying the time with my family instead of the good food. It will be a journey.

The funny thing is, I ate part of a sweet potato - something I used to hate. I'm thinking of food as nourishment more and it seems to be changing my tastes.

I stuck to my pre-op diet and am pleased with that.

I had gravy both dinners. But was good. Was very hard but I made it!! :). We can do this!
