Follow A Sleever From Night Before Surgery All They Way Through Recovery

I decided that for my own therapy and to hopefully help answer questions for others I would document my Surgery Experience. That being from the night before, all the hospital details and recovery process as it happens. Some background info: I am a 31 year old married mom of 2. I work full time and I am a foster parent. I have been at least 100 pounds overweight for 15 years with a little yo yo in between. My weight tonight on my home scale is 235 lbs. I am 5' 2". I have no co morbidities I finished a 2 week diet of 2 shakes, and a healthy meal at night. I did cheat 2-3 times. Today I am on full clear liquids. Chicken broth, jello, tea, Beef Broth, ext. I was hungry but it wasn't too bad. I kept myself busy. Of course I am nervous about my sleeve tomorrow for a million reasons. I have to be at the hospital for 6 am. So it is now 9:30pm, I've taken 2 ambien and I'm off to lala land. I will check in tomorrow on the way to the hospital. Sweet Dreams Fellow Sleevers.

Day 12: First day pain free! No incision pain or anything! I can bend, and even applied a little pressure that normally painful site and it didn't hurt at all! I feel great. No trouble with fluids. I feel normal again lol. Still no movement in the scale since day 7. Side note Glue on top incision is gone today. Healed nicely.

Hi LuminousLife - What have you been able to drink besides water since day 7?

Do you have any feeling of hunger at all? I really do appreciate your daily posts!

This daily posting on the trials/tribulations is very helpful Luminous.

9 days to my surgery.

Thank you. I will try to do this also for my journey.

Day 13: I had another great day. No pain, no trouble with my fluids. I feel normal again! I catch myself forgetting I had it done. Tomorrow I should get the approval to move to phase 3. I am so excited to eat eggs and cottage cheese!!!! I decided to follow a Paleo way if eating for health reasons along with weight loss since I am able to get in enough protein without shakes. My husband also wants to try it. So good things all around. No regrets.

When did the gas pain go away? Everthing i swallow my stomach acts as if its throwing up bubbles. Kinda like a culligan water machine when you put a new tank on!
