What stage are you on? It would all depend on what you are allowed to eat.

Things I was eating at 4 weeks out: Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, poached and scrambled eggs (mix in some shredded cheese for extra protein), pureed tuna, chicken, salmon, and shrimp. I would puree those with a little bit of olive oil mayo and something flavorful like Sriracha sauce or BBQ Sauce, but it all depends on what you can tolerate.

Dizziness and nausea also sounds like dehydration, are you sure you are getting in all your fluids?

And of course you should check with your dietician/surgeon to let them know of the difficulties you are having. They are the ones who can provide you with expert medical guidance. Best wishes.

One scrambled egg is fine. I can eat two sometimes. I like to use one full egg and the egg white from the second to add to the Protein count without adding a whole egg.

To the OP, first, call your nutritionist pronto. They should know your status and your challenges. You may have something preventing the eating that the doc will want to check out. (I had acid reflux and they saw the esophegus getting inflamed so they put me on more PPIs. Voila, chow time!)

Cottage cheese cottage cheese cottage cheese. add flavors if you want. no sugar added preservatives/jams help (if youre not a CC lover like me)

You can make your egg into egg salad and spruce it up.

Also, dont give up on Protein shakes and drinks. There are SO many different flavors and consistencies that something will click eventually. If the think watery ones bother you, try a thicker milkier one. Vitamin SHoppe will make you samples of just about anything. And HOW you make them is just as important. Maybe start with the pre-mades and see if there's anything there. You can also add sugar free flavored syrups to anything. Hazlenut or some more powerful flavors will cover the "proteiny" taste and smell pretty well. (i'm on a coconut Water kick using the Isopure cocotein). But I find I get sick of a particular flavor in under a week! So I keep moving.

Call the doc and let us know. Wishing you the best!

I'm starting week 3 and can eat half an egg and 1tbls of uncooked grits( I''m full after that). I'm also eating chicken and tuna salad and cottage cheese. Soups too. I have chewed on the occasional cracker with no ill effects.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
