Oh my goodness jlmckee. I'm so with you and well said. I just got the phone call from the hospital. My surgery is at 7 am. I have to be there at 6 am. It's finally here. I'm just now drinking my Magnesium Citrate. It is disgusting. Like really, really disgusting. I got lemon. I could barf but that's ok I'm doing this and I am sooooooo ready. I won't be sleeping tonight. I never sleep anyway but I know it won't be happening tonight. I'll be up trying to distract myself. I'm glad it's first thing in the am. Less time to chicken out. I've told so few people about it that it's easy to pretend it's not happening but now it's here.

pls be sure to keep us all updated. Speedy recovery for you:)

It is worth it! [2wks post op today and aside from food restriction, I can't even physically tell I have had surgery...most energy I have had in years]

Kenny... Enjoy your new beginnings.. Take a heating pad to hospital.. Really helped me with some of the discomfort from the carbon dioxide gas's as they desipate throughout you! Walk walk and walk!

I see most of you who have surgery tomorrow are still on here tonight:-). Good luck and God bless!

It's been a week since my surgery, and I still can't believe I did it! We are strong and can do this. My thoughts will be with you.

Kenny W,

I'm not on the losers bench yet but I'm sure it's totally worth it. I'm on my 3rd day of a 10 day liquid diet. They say it gets better, I guess I'll find out. I'm scheduled for Feb 5th. Good luck to you, you got this.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
