So, unfortunately, today I got to experience something that brought up past feelings of how people made me feel in school... Only this time it's BECAUSE of my weight loss. I got my new license today and took a side by side pic of my old vs. my new. I thought it was funny how different my face looked. Well, after posting it on Facebook, an old friend of mine made a very rude comment that actually sent me in to tears at work. I'm not easily shaken, but this really hurt. It taught me an important lesson though... Fat, skinny, black, white, tall, or short... People are people and will always find something to say about you. I just feel badly that he had to be so mean... I'm pretty down this afternoon because of him.

The older I get the more I feel the need to remove the negative from my life. Glad u deleted him. People judge no matter what. As many good folks as there are in the world there are the assholes out there too. You have made a amazing change to your life and u deserve support and to be able to show it to the world if that's what you want. Some people are just miserable and can't stand for anyone else to be happy or excited about stuff. Hold your head high girl u are doing great!!!

Please tell him this – “Whilst being rude and making people feel like crap when we were at school, you obviously weren’t doing much learning. Your first sentence is correct.

However, in your second sentence, the word should be ‘you’re’ (an abbreviation of you are) not ‘your’.

What does ‘yeah for you’ even mean? Are you congratulating me or is this an affirmation of my very existence?

You do not start sentences with ‘but’ as it’s a linking word (it’s the same with ‘and’).

Can’t has an apostrophe between the ‘n’ and the ‘t’.

I am perfectly calm, just sharing my news with my ‘friends’ on Facebook which I hear is a perfectly normal thing to do.

Now, away with you and learn 1) some manners and 2) some grammar … oh yes, and as you said ‘Lol’."

HAHAHA. UK-SLEEVER is hilarious! That's everything I was going to say. If someone can't be happy for you, then keep it moving! He should be a little more worried about his grammar than anything else...

I would do nothing but laugh at such a response. His jealously is glaring, which is embarrassing for him. And defriend. What a loser!

That is the best response ever!!!!!!!!! Yes girl. Op there are haters in this world and you have to shrug them off. If e was a true friend he would be happy for you. Not saying stuff like that! Rise above it girl. You are among lots of people here who love ya! We support you!

I absolutely do!! Especially when I read the "whilst". My daughters speak with a british accent EVERYDAY at home and it kinda grows on you! ;)

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
