44 and sending fat out the door!

Went to my pre-op class today. Happy to find out that my doctor doesn't require a liquid diet before surgery. There is a meal plan to follow but it's very doable. My sleeve date is Nov. 19, wish me luck. Very nervous.

Good luck!. no liquid pre-op diet, lucky indeed!

YEAH! I just turned 44 a week or so ago and it feels good to be healthy and thin now! Just think, by next time this year, you will be looking so much different, and have a new and healthy lifestyle! GO YOU!!!! Have a great surgery!

My surgeon also didn't require a liquid diet, just a 1000 calorie healthy eating plan starting 2 weeks prior to surgery, which I was very happy about. I wish you the best of luck, DeeGee!

I had my vertical sleeve surgery on 11/11/13. I had to do the pre-op diet and that was tough but worth all the efforts to have the surgery. I am 8 days post-op and feel so much better. The surgery day is tough but remember every day got so much better. Think of the goal. I am 45 years old and it's time I take my life back. Your surgery was today and I wish you the best of luck. Move as much as you can. My biggest pain and problem after surgery was the gas pain, it felt like chest pain and severe back/shoulder pain. It got much better, especially after 1 week after surgery. I will look forward to your progress. From Bonogirl.

48 and looking forward to feeling better. Sleeve oct 30 down 25#. Was in a stall for 1 week but never worried. Walking several days a week, clothes are feeling loose. This weight dud not come on over night, us not coming off over night.
