Gastric Sleeve 10-21-13

Recommended Posts

I was sleeved on Wednesday the 23rd and I can't believe I would feel up to going back to work in a week. I took the 3 weeks my Dr. recommended. How were you feeling 3 days out. I am so sore and tired, I can't wait for this soreness to go away.

I also was sleeved on the 21st and actually went in to the office for 3 hours on Thursday. I'm going back full time on Monday as well. I think that getting up and moving will actually feel better than resting so much.

I was also sleeved on Monday. I wanted to go back to work after a week but my surgeon made me promise to take two weeks off. Today is day 6 and while I could probably handle it, I'm grateful for another week (I'm a hair stylist). If for no other reason than just to have the time off for myself.

I was sleeved on Wednesday the 23rd and im going back to work on the 30 (1 week). I actually feel good enough to go back on Monday, but because my post op is on Tuesday I figure I'd just wait till that is over.

I'm 3 weeks post op and my doctor required me to take 6 weeks off! I think it may depend what your job is and plus I had my gallbladder out and a hiatal hernia fixed at the same time as my sleeve.

I am also going back to work tomorrow I feel the same way going back to routine will help as well Instead of laying all daylong... What is everyone eating as far as drinks and stuff?

Congrats to all of you on your WLS!!!

Good to read such positive results and being so upbeat and optimistic to return to work so soon

I'm pre-op start diet 11/1 and surgery 11/15

You're all an inspiration and helps me being pre-op get through these nerves taking over me.

I just made my Appt's required before surgery lab, EKG etc.

I got so nervous as i type I'm trying to overcome a panic attack. I took a Xanax since I suffer from anxiety and logged on here to get my head cleared up and on track again.

I'm feeling scared and questioning myself if can do it, then freak out thinking what if I come out if surgery and have panic/anxiety attacks everyday.

I'm asking myself if these nerves are a sign not to do it.

I'm scared because I'm a diabetic and keep think will my little stomach balance glucose/sugar after surgery

Did you all go through this too??

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
