GAY Bandsters

Recommended Posts

Hey GAYS

I finally got my fill. I have a question. I think I need to be tighter. I have a 10cc band and they filled it with 5cc. I cannot eat anything in the morning but can pretty much get anything down after noon. I have to eat slowly, but I can feel the 'plop' when the food goes down. After that I still can eat. Should I fill more or should I wait.

My doctor says I need to figure it out. I need to work with the band, not expect it to do the work for me.

What should I do? Anyone out there having wierd fill sensations?

Makes you want to go Hummmmmmmm, I also have a 10cc band and have 6cc in. It took about a month after having the last fill before it finally hit full force. I was also tight in the am, then be a little lose in the pm, when I get a uncomfortable feeling like at the bottom of my throat I stop. I do not push any more down.

Wait about a month before trying to get another fill.

Good Luck and hang in there

LOL, is Skinny in a Bottle the same thing as the Magic Skinny Pill I've been waiting for? The scientists really need to get on this.

Hey everyone I am new to this group, I was banded 3/16/07, So far I have lost about 32 pounds. My partner and I went in to have the procedure together and she is doing awesome also....She has lost 30....It's only been a few months and we are headed to the right path. Only the normal frustrations, like what to eat, what we can get down and what different things to try, But so far we are really happy with our surgery....

:rainbow: :cat: :dog:

Hi my name is Kim, I am a 38 y/o lesbian from California, and I am so glad to see that there is a group out there for lap-banders, I was banded 3/16/07 and so far so good. I am happy with my progress, and just had a few questions for anyone that can help...

1. Why do some of the bandsters say they have a pouch?

2. What does restriction mean?

I have had one fill/adjustment and go for my second on 4/24/07 I can hardly wait.

thanks....:flame: :typing:

Hey Kim,

When a bandster refers to their 'pouch' they are refering to the small stomach created by the band. It's the area between the esophogus and the band.

Restriction is the term for how 'tight' the band is. I'll use it in a sentence: I was able to eat an entire chicken breast, I felt no restriction.

Hope this helps.

Ok well thank you BandStar, that also awnsered my questions. I felt restricted with my first fill, now I can really eat what I want and how much I want to.. So I go in for my second fill on 4/24/07, I can hardly wait, cause I have noticed that I havent lost anymore weight in the last few weeks, So I'll let everyone know how it goes.....

thanks again.

I was wondering, after you had a fill, did your rib area, stomach area feel crampy in the morning, I went through that and found it best to try to strech that area out a little in the morning before i got out of bed, and when food got caught, It felt like some has punched me in my chest...OUCH!, I hope the more i get restricted the better my body feels.....

I just read everything here and want it sooo bad. I am 240 and miserable. Just want to get under 200 and I think I would be sooooooo happy w/ myself. Congrats on loosing the 24......I know you can do it.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
