Told the Dr. Anxiety about final insurance approval has set in.

Went the the Dr. Told her since I only have one appt left before we submit to insurance for final approval that anxiety has completely set in.. Ive done everythinv that is required and am actually overquallified for what ins. Requires but still have that fear of denial. She basically told me to take a chill pill and relax brok out her jns. Papers to show me what my healthplan requires so i could see i more than qualify but idk still hard to shake that anxiety.

My ins. Only requires a bmi of 49 or higher , or if under 40 u have to also have a co morbidity. I am in the 50's and have co morbidities.. I am doing a sleep study this month also just as extra verification. For me. Ugh soo ready to be done with this stage if the game.

That should be bmi of 40 or higher

yes it seems like there alot of hoops to jump through but I was glad that my Dr. and insurance required a complete pre op plan and made sure that I was healthy enough to have surgery... You will be happy with the results.. I was banded in Jan. 2013, have lost almost 55 lbs and feel better than I have in years.. Best of Luck to you and keep us posted on your progress...

Thanks.. yes i am glad to know that i am healthy enough for surgery i think it is just the fear of after you go through all of this and qualify they can still deny u.. will feel better after its submitted to ins.

Hi there, I'm so sympathetic -- worried all summer over this and finally it all came together. Yesterday I called the insurance company (again) just to be sure everything is completely set, that no additional notification pre-surgery is required, etc. It is all a go......Congratulations to you on getting through the whole process but especially on your commitment to yourself and your healthy future!

I know how you feel. I go for my final appointment on the 30th and then my paperwork goes to the insurance company for approval. Good luck!
