Stop Watching Me....

You know, I went a different way with this. I've been very open with having GBP surgery. I have found the people at work to be very very supportive (and I work in a call center with 600+ employees). When we have rewards my bosses with bring me a healthier option, instead of candy. When we had to go on a working business trip my fellow employees helped me lug around my Protein Drinks, Protein Bars, hummus, etc. I have found that people are interested and it's opened up many conversations with others who have considered the surgery. I have a special place in my heart for all of these obese friends of mine. I have had several complications from the surgery (4 strictures, scar tissue removal, hernia repair. I live almost daily with pain in my left side under the rib cage so they've seen my battles). I will be extremely honest that if I could go back I would NEVER have the surgery but now it's done and I have to take one day at a time to get through. BTW in case you're wondering I'm 14 mos post-op and down 137 lbs. I now weigh 129 lbs and I'm considered underweight now! Don't be afraid or embarrassed to tell others you had surgery! By NO MEANS is this the "easy way out"! :-)

@ Jennie B.....OMG!!! Thank you fir sharing your story. I do sometimes share my store with certai . People but only those who i feel are truly concerned and actually considering the surgery. I haven't had many problems and I thank God for that. Now, i think i may have been a month or two out of surgery and nothing would stay down not even Water. So, after getting that corrected I feel fine. I do regret sometimes but thats only when i can't finish all my food or i want something i know i can't have but as i remember correctly thsts what put me in the overweight predicament i was in amd the all regrets leave. Thank you again for sharing. It will be 2 years for me in February but i know that I've hit a stand still. Hw: 358 Cw: 202 I could be crazy but i think i may should'velost a llittle more. I don't know.....

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
