Just wondering how long everyone had their drain if any...ty

1 week. They took it out at my first post op appt

I had a G drain for a month. :+(

They pulled my j drain in the hospital.

It is a gastric drain. It went to my "old" stomach and relieved gas and pressure. I was a revision from band to bypass and had a lot of scar tissue. Most straight RNY and even revisions don't get one. I was one of the lucky few. It was by far the worst part of surgery. That month was hell for me. On a positive note I didn't have gas like some post surgery.

My scar looks like a gun shot so I tell my hubby I am bad ass and that's my back story now.

I just had mine while I was in the hospital, on day of discharge they pulled! Do thankful I didn't go home with it!

I had mine in for 10 days. The took it out at my first post op appointment.

I had mine out the day I left the hospital

My drain was removed right before I was discharged. I don't want to ever experience the feeling of the drain being removed ever again in life.

Take a deep breath when they take it out. I didn't even realize she had taken it out.

I had mines for 2 days. Thank goodness!

My doc doesn't use drains. Thank god.
