  1. Greek yogurt in place of mayonnaise.
  2. I was 50 when I had my surgery. July will be 2 years for me! I did great! Don't regret it for a moment. Was a size 22, now a size 6!!
  3. Congratulations! I too am waiting to see that goal. I had my surgery July 8th and have about 20 lbs to go until I hit my first goal!
  4. Please email me your spreadsheet. tsworkinger@comcast.net. Thank you so much!
  5. I started the soft foods phase this week and I have to say that almost every time I eat I feel nauseous! I've not thrown up but I certainly don't feel good. I'm so sick of protein shakes the thought of them make me gag! I was so excited to start this phase and get off the pureed. I just don't know what to do!!! :-(
  6. Wishing you a speedy recovery! AND remember to walk, walk, walk... helps with the gas! Best of luck!
  7. I had mine in for 10 days. The took it out at my first post op appointment.
  8. Welcome to the forum. This is a great site for support!
  9. Not sure why mine took 3 hours... there were no complications. My surgeon used the Da Vinci Robot-don't know if that's why it took longer.
  10. Awesome news! Congratulations! The 23rd will be here before you know it!
  11. Hi everyone! Day 3 post op and I'm feeling pretty good. Sipping, walking and napping is all I'm doing right now. Sunday I start full liquids so I can start eating cream soups, SF pudding and yog urt... looking forward to that. Only real pain is around drain area especially when getting up and down. Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers!
  12. Thanks, PittGuy! I'll post as soon as I'm able!
  13. Thanks everyone! I will post as soon as I'm able. @Carol, so glad it all went so well for you; I'm hoping for the same outcome. I had my gallbladder out years ago so I don't have to worry with that. My surgeon's during the procedure with the Da Vinci Robot; supposedly there's less chance of complications and a quicker recovery time. I'm hoping to go back to work in two weeks!!
  14. Tomorrow's the day I've been waiting for for 7 months! Have to be at the hospital at 5:30 a.m. Hopefully this time tomorrow I will be seated on the loser's bench! Really, really nervous!
  15. Well tomorrow's the day I'll be seated on the loser's bench! Getting incredibly nervous!
  16. Well I got the call from the hospital today. I have to be there Monday at 5:30 a.m. Woo hoo... it's finally happening!!! Very excited and very nervous!!!!
  17. Cheryll we're surgery buddies!
  18. It hasn't been too bad! Sunday was my first rough day; I was supposed to go to our church picnic and I just couldn't. Once I got back to work on Monday things were better. Stay busy to keep your mind off food. I get hungry but not starving. About the time I start to get really hungry, it's time to drink another shake. I'm really sick of the shakes though!
  19. It is flying! I started this process back in January, thought it would never get here for so long. These past two weeks have gone by so fast!
  20. I'm 7 days into my 10 day liquid diet. Surgery is Monday and I'm starting to get really nervous!
  21. Good luck, Chris. Prayers for a speedy recovery! I'll be following you on Monday.
  22. Good luck! Let us know when you're on the loser's bench! You'll do great!
