No. I have to have a protein drink for breakfast, lunch, dinner and evening snack. I can have SF jello and SF popsicles and a limited number of fruits and veggies (but only a max. of 2 cups of those a day). I can honestly say I don't feel that hungry but I'm already sick of the shakes and I'm only 1 day in. Ughhh!!!

York Hospital. My surgeon is Dr. Edward Garber. How did your surgery/recovery go? How long were you in the hospital and off work?

Hi mamafine23! I'm from York. I'm scheduled to have my surgery on the 8th! I too wouldn't mind having a buddy to compare notes!

To become healthy so that I'm alive to see my daughter get married and have children. To be able to buy clothes anywhere! To be able to sit comfortably in a booth, in a theater, on an airplane or on an amusement ride. To finally feel good about my self!!!

What is your pre-op diet?

I started my liquid diet this morning. I have to be on it for 10 days. Two shakes down and 38 more to go!!! lol

Thanks for sharing your story. My surgery date is July 8th (less than 2 weeks). As it gets closer I'm getting nervous and second-guessing myself. It's stories like yours that validate my decision to have the surgery! Thank you!!!

I didn't feel a thing and was perfectly fine when I woke up. No worries!!! :-)
