My drain was removed right before I was discharged. I don't want to ever experience the feeling of the drain being removed ever again in life.

Mine came out the day I went home. Didn't hurt but its the weirdest feeling. Thought that thing was wrapped around every organ in my body. She kept telling me to breathe and it was over in seconds.

Did not have one. I feel for those who had to put up with one of those pesky things. I can sympathize with the discomfort. Not related to WLS but I had a Wound Vac placed on me. I was in tears.

I didn't have a drain after surgery until a week after they put an accordion drain in for a leakage problem and that stayed in about a month. Hurt bad getting it taken out for just a few seconds, then it just felt weird coming out.

she said the longer it is in' date=' your own tissue starts to attache to the tubing...ugh...![/quote']

That's true. Think I was more scared than I needed to be about it being pulled out. It really wasn't that bad.
