Seriously need help and guidance

Recommended Posts

Looking for someone to give me guidance, exchange cell numbers to text and be able to have quick access when needed. My surgery is schedule for the 23 and it all seems so unreal... begin this journey February 5 and everything happens so fast. I had an out of pocket expense of almost 1800 that I managed to pay. Now I need a grocery list to go and get so that even I come home I'm prepared. Somebody please help. I refuse to fail

I mainly had... broth and Water.... Some more Water and.... Water :-D

I had this grape mix I got from my bariatric doctor that's how I got my Protein in cus I really did like the shake I was drinking pre op. So don't go crazy and stock up on Protein drinks you like now because your taste might change after surgery.

It was a long time before I could get my Protein but I always made sure I had water by my side. And mt pouch was a picky one. I could only drink ice cold bottle waster. If I drank room temp it would feel like I swallowed a lump. Don't take big drinks. Sip sip sip :-)

Thanks a million...I greatly appreciate the prayers. Now I'm confused in what to pack. I guess just a change of clothes, my charger and cell phone.

Toothbrush, tooth paste, comb, pads/tampons, undies, pjs, slippers, cell charger, phone, something to keep you busy, and your own pillow because hospital pillows suck. Haha I also brought deodorant and spray just because I hate feeling icky.

Even if you aren't expecting your period, make sure you bring the lady products you like because a lot of women start theirs after surgery even when it's not due. If you don't have your own stuff, you'll be forced to use the 3 inch thick boats that the hospital has. Haha

How did your surgery go???

My surgery went smooth. No complications and took two hours. Sometimes I wonder if he really done anything. Now the hard part is eating. I.get full so fast and stay full, not sure how to get the adequate amount of food in that I need

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
