Im doing ok after spine surgery. Have alot of pain at times but nothing out of the ordinary. I miss chatting with everyone here too. Seems like people are staying away from this site due to issues. It has worked for me lately just fine though.

All of the Water weight is slowly dropping day by day. Sucks having to lose it all over again. Hope you are all doing well. ;)

Going to the bathroom was the worst for me!

I can do that no problem, except wiping. The hardest for me is getting out of bed. Laying down goes alot easier but getting up takes alot out of me!

After ankle surgery, I bought some giant thongs to help reach back. They were recommended from an OT. In Amazon, search for " toilet paper aid"

I hope you continue to get better day by day, Dori. I think this site switch and our busy lives have kept us all off the site for awhile. I ,too had surgery recently, just a little one compared to Dori's, and I've started training for a new job, so that's why I've been a little more inactive...

So how is everybodys weight loss going? I'm down to 189, from a hw of 297... Things are definitely slowing down. But I'm in a 14, down from a 22. . My dr thought I'd probably reach a gw of 185 after about a year...think I'll make that! I am getting so tired if cheese sticks and nuts. Lol...need lunch suggestions. I can't do bread, and I'm not really an egg without toast girl. Just getting food bored, i guess. No cravings, except for rice. Just bored.

I get bored a lot also with meals. I have started making taco meat with low fat cheese, salsa, dab of sour cream, and green chilis. That's my new fav. I'm so burned out on yogurt and cheese. I've started eating more meant like grilled pork chop, thinly sliced flank steak etc. I'm 8lb from my personal goal. See my surgeon Wednesday to see how I'm doing and get labs. Will be my last visit there as we are moving. We pack this week and the movers come Wed. Trying hard not to fall prey to the grab and eat something on the go.

We April ladies rock! I think I'll make a big pot of pea Soup. And some chili, and eat off of those for awhile. It's getting crappy here( Wisconsin) and I'm soo fricken cold. I definitely need a change of scenery, like a permanent move to San Diego. Where are you moving?

My issue was I could not bend back or sit down very easy. If I was to have surgery on the back today it would of been easier. Have never had issues how should I say, wiping myself. Lol

We close on our house in a week. The movers come this wed to get stuff. We don't actually leave for Denver til the 1st part of Jan so puts us scrambling to get all we need for a month packed away and out from where the movers would take it. We stay in a short term rental for that month. I guess selling your house early is a good prob to have :) it's just kinda a bit extra effort. That and having to go through crap is annoying. Certain things they won't move and I have to go through papers. I'm ready for a break!

They gave one to me in the hospital! Lifesaver for sure!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
