Glad I found the thread and can now catch up with everyone....had surgery last Monday to open a blocked subclavian graft...all went well, but gained 3 lbs that has not come off yet. I really need to get to the store, but can't yet, so I'm not eating well... There's not a lot to eat here....sick of yogurt and cheese sticks...ah well I can imagine how good a salad will taste! Hope you're all doing great...missed you!

Tomorrow is back surgery day for me. This is what I've been waiting for and the reason I had RNY to begin with. Please say a little prayer for me that the surgery is a big success! Thanks April peeps. Youre the best!

I was incommunicado when you posted this...hope you're doing well, Dori

Glad u are back! Hopefully u can recover and all will get back to its normal pace. I'm also sick of yogurt and cheese. I've pretty much boycotted it lately trying to switch things up some.

I can now see the last pages on my phone! Yay! Recovery was harder than I thought it would be from Mondays surgery. Still in the hospital. My bp dropped so low post op that they couldnt give me anything for pain for awhile. So yesterday we played catch up. I am now better with the pain which is great, but have now developed a fever of 101. ugh I just want to go home all ready.

Good to hear from you, Dori...glad you're feeling better thus am, and that your fever broke...now remind me, did you have a spinal fusion? I really hope this does the trick for you. We all should have at least manageable pain.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
