3 weeks' date='I started off by eating wrong then i began exercising everyday sometimes twice a day right after surgery cause I really haven't had much Weightloss ive only lost 25lbs,now im in pain for doing this to myself.[/quote']

Why? Were you not told about food?

Were you not told about exercise restrictions? Huh I must be a dummy 25 lbs is NOT something I would categorize as "haven't had much weightless"! I have read a lot on these blogs yours I'm sorry to say is up there with some of the people who may have chosen this surgery for the wrong reason?

I am 6 weeks post OP and I've only lost 27 lbs which is perfectly acceptable by any MD.

Please take things easy... 25 lbs is alo of weight i think in 3 weeks. I would cut back on the exercise and give your body time to heal. I understand the drive to get your weight loss going, but i believe that sometimes taking it slowly is a good thing. Our bodies need time to heal and our minds time to understand our new way of life. The weight will be lost, there's no need to fall in a"whirlwind" mode.... I find the less i jump on the scales, the more i lose. Im just over six months out, and down about 95lbs and with some long stalls but through it all i never felt that pressure of failure that has always made me give up on all the other diets i have tried.

Please take it easy...

It so hard to get the "I didnt gain this weight overnight, I wont lose it overnight" thoughts in your head. I know it is for me. Somedays all I want to do is exercise and go go go as hard as I can to make the weight come off faster...but it doesnt...it stalls me out! The fear we all have of not measuring up to others weight loss gets us sometimes too! But I am an individual, not a production part.... I have to do what works for me.

Just relax, slow down your pace, follow the plan and I promise this will work for you! Try not to overdo it, just keep moving forward slowly!

Sorry if you took my comments as negative. I was being a bit sarcastic because you were bashing yourself for losing 25 lbs which is an incredible loss in a short time by any standard. My apologies if you felt it negative.....

Changingme, the HARDEST part of surgery for me was "breaking up with food." I had a hard time and meal after meal I wanted that rush I felt with high fat foods I ate pre op. I KNOW the hard time you're in now. I'm lifting you up in prayer. For me, my rny was a lot like being postpartum in that it was a fog of going through the motions (fixing Protein Shake after Protein shake). Then the fog cleared and I was able to set REALISTIC goals and eat good things. I hope you are able to get out of your bad habits too.

I've started therapy for postpartum depression and my eating habits and today i had a real eye opener cause the dr thinks i might have a restriction or possible leak so im undergoing the procedure to check and see,its outpatient.

I think you are doing great! Don't be so hard on yourself. I couldn't exercise for 6 weeks because of surgery pain and pneumonia after surgery. I am 3 months post op and down 60 pounds. we all slip up with foods and give in to temptation- those are lessons learned and we move forward. Stay focused- and remember we are all going thru this with you :) :)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
