juditha got a reaction from Smilejoelle1 in Responses From PeopleIts not just other people who treat us different. WE do too! ( sadly im speaking from past experience .. That weight that i lost came back to visit bringing some of its friends along too:-(....)
When we have lost weight we treat ourselves better. Take more care- usuallly- of our appearance. We are happier and show it and therefore other people notice it. We smile more therefore more people smile back. In short the confidence that we gain after weight loss shows ! We feel more attractive therefore we are......
I have my op on wednesday ... And can't wait for that feeling.... At the moment i feel as confident as a bull in a china shop

Stop for just a moment and think about what you've accomplished already. You've lost an average of five pounds a week for three months. If you maintain that average for six more months, you'll lose an additional 120 pounds. Total loss - 180 pounds in nine months. You are doing absolutely amazing! Celebrate your success every day!!
Almost half of all gastric bypass patients never experience dumping. And yet the success rate is 85%. Gastric bypass is the most effective treatment for obesity known to medical science. It's not about dumping! It's about what I call The Prime Directive - lifestyle changes. You can read more in my post here .
It's unfortunate that your husband is not supportive but no one, absolutely no one, can control your destiny - unless you let them. They can't take it. They can't demand it. They can't force it. You started this journey for your health, your self esteem and your peace of mind. And it will be your commitment, your determination and your courage that will take you where you want to go. You can do this and when you do - you're gonna love the new you!!

juditha reacted to kisersassy in Not HappyMy husband is same way as well as my adult son living back home. They have no compassion on what I am having to do. So the other day in the midde of cooking something I know I can't have I put the cooking utensils down went in while they were just laying in the couch watching TV like always and said I was done. I refuse to cook what I can't eat so if you want to eat cook it yourselves. Gave them the utensils and walked away.

juditha got a reaction from ladyspl in Waiting To...Go in for my op!!! Sitting in the waiting room , waiting to be called in for prep. Im strangly calm - hope thats a good thing-
I came alone - a decision that i am very happy with- i just couldn't handle the stress of my husband. He would be sitting next to me on this phone all the time. But instead his having to deal with the kids in the morning ( a first) and im here reading a book in silence. Pity i cant have a coffee to go with it! I am just ready. Not too nervous not too scared, just ready.

juditha reacted to Robin Lattierre in Its The Little ThingsSo today I was informed that at work we are doing buffalo bills casual Friday! Which means I had to go out and buy something with bills on it! I went to target and instantly went to the plus sizes. Tried on a few that were huge on me! So then I went to the normal section and I was able to buy an XL shirt! I cant believe how far I've come in less than 3 months! This is def my motivation to get my butt to the gym!

Ok maybe the worst part of WLS is I spent a lot of money on really nice stuff to wear and now they are starting to hang but don't want to buy new just yet. Went from a 46-48 waist to a 40- 42 still got pact away I hate to throw good stuff away you know maybe some day I will be able to wear it again that someday has arrived so I'm some what good for now.
The best part is the doctor looking at me to day and saying damm I do good work. You got to love a doctor that thanks you that way for being a good patient .

juditha reacted to LosingItForMe2011 in Revision OpJuditha, I had a lapband put in, in 2006, revised 2008 and removed 2010. It is a great tool for those it sits right, mine did for the first 14 months and I lost about 80 pounds with it but, then the trouble started. Never got it right after that and after the revision. It was years of hell with the reflux and no sleep because of it. I had my RNY 6 weeks ago. I've run into issues due to infection but, otherwise I feel good and no adjustments necessary! No reflux either and that in itself is great! Good luck!

juditha reacted to DLCoggin in Waiting Is Exhausting When You're Already ReadyIsn't it amazing how you struggle, sometimes for months, trying to make the decision regarding surgery. You do the research, discucss it with family and friends, do some more research, read the stories of others, talk to doctors, do more research. Then you finally are ready. You make your decision - "I'm going for it!" And from that point, that very second, all you can think about is "I want it NOW"! Lol. I bet you there is not one person on this forum that doesn't (or hasn't) felt the exact same way. It will go faster than you think and from reading your posts, you're going to be a fantastic success story!!
