  2. This time of year is going to be so trying for all of us! Candy does not make me sick either I have totally 'tried' foods I would normally never eat! We are almost at our one year surgiversaries!!! That is what I am using as my inspiration to try to avoid those 'bad' foods and keep pushing forward Good luck to all of us during the holiday season!!!!
  3. Just a quick update: I am feeling wonderful!! I am down to 147 pounds....that's so mind blowing to me...im wearing s/m shirts and 7/8 pants...this has been a trying process...the stalls and the head hunger, the emotions, the whole unknown....but it has been worth every struggle I have had! I would go thru all of it all over again if I had to I hope everyone is continuing to do great and feel good my original goal was 125 but I worry that may be too small for my frame so I have adjusted to 135- that puts me 12 pounds from goal in 8 months!!! I am so excited for me as well as everyone else!

  8. I have not posted with my December friends in a while I have been doing good- 6 month check up next week. Down about 73 pounds. Last weekend I tried on a pair of jeans and a size 10 fit me!!!!!! I almost fell over...lol! When I started 6 months ago I was wearing a 18/20 in pants. I was so excited I paid the $30 for a pair of pants I know I will not be able to wear for long!!! I am so eager to get to single digits. People at work tell me I look like a completely different person now if I could figure out how to post a pic I would hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the new you!!! I am :)
  9. I have been stuck between 160 and 164 for a month now increasing exercise and protein- hoping for results soon Surgery date-12/3/12 SW- 233 CW- 162 (today)
  10. I am 4 months out and I struggle with meal planning too. I cannot eat early in the morning so I have a protein shake (30g) for breakfast and then I have a protein bar(20g) during the day as well as greek yogurt, I will fix a spinach leaf salad with chicken strips for lunch and then measure out chicken or beef for dinner. Its been really hard for me because these are things I never would have eaten before and I have had to experiment a lot!! I do get hunger pains and when I eat those high protein foods it really helps with the hunger. Try some new things and see how you do- I was very scared to try new foods after my surgery once I could 'eat' again but I'm glad I did.
  11. Congrats!!!! You are doing great
  12. Surgery date: 12/3/12 SW: 233 CW: 166 Small losses but I will take them Congrats to all of us for our victories no matter how big :)

  15. I think you are doing great! Don't be so hard on yourself. I couldn't exercise for 6 weeks because of surgery pain and pneumonia after surgery. I am 3 months post op and down 60 pounds. we all slip up with foods and give in to temptation- those are lessons learned and we move forward. Stay focused- and remember we are all going thru this with you :)
  16. They did robotic surgery and removed my gallbladder Wednesday! Im feeling ok- sore it was only one incision in my belly button which was nice but I sure have been sore. Planning in going back to work on Monday. Can't lift over 10 pounds until I follow up and I have been resting- trying to give my body time to heal.
  17. Thanks for all of your support ladies It does help to calm my nerves knowing some of you had to go thru a lot worse (and sooner) and have bounced back and are doing great
  18. My December buddies I am pretty bummed I am 3 1/2 months post op and I have been feeling great down 57 pounds and learning to adjust to the new me :)today I found out that I have 'several' gallstones and the gallbladder has go go I am very apprehensive about having another surgery so soon. My doc says it is very simple and I will be home the same day but I am still very nervous! I am worried about starting the healing process all over again when I am feeling so good (for the most part). I know the gallbladder removal will not be as intense as the bypass but the fear is still there. Any similar situations that can hp to calm my nerves???
